"I don't know either. That's strange. It shouldn't be happening." Hallie's eyes darted around, full of confusion.

Just then, an old man with gray hair walked hurriedly into the courtyard through the archway. He turned back and called urgently, "Hurry up, faster!"

He hurried ahead, followed by two burly men. The two men were carrying something completely wrapped in a quilt and moving quickly behind him.

Isaac focused his gaze. The old man who walked briskly into the room was the same one who had attended the auction earlier that day.

"What's wrapped in the quilt must be the fox girl," Hallie exclaimed softly.

Soon, laughter erupted from the room. Then, the old man and the two burly men came out and disappeared from the courtyard.
