Chapter 261
They arrived at Springview Clinic. When the rain eased off, Isaac swiftly carried Mrs. Danson into the clinic while Emily followed at her own pace.

Soon, Harry came out of the treatment room and told Emily, who was anxiously waiting, “Your mother had a great shock, that’s all. She should be recovering soon. I’m getting her some chamomile tea to help her relax; it should take only a short while.”

Emily heaved a sigh of relief when she heard what Harry said and fell back in her chair.

Emily felt significantly better after taking a rest. Isaac approached her and asked, “Was it your ex-husband’s doings again? Did he throw out all your belongings too?”

Emily’s eyes reddened as she lowered her head and told him what had happened.

“After my mom fell sick, we talked about our divorce; his parents offered us that house as our place of stay. I never thought he would be so cruel as to hurt my mom.” Emily wiped her tears and said, “Isaac, thank you.”
