“Jesus, a ghost!” Edward sprung up from his seat, even though his leg was still in a plaster cast.

“So, you’re attending the funeral tomorrow, huh? With your leg in this state, too. How inconvenient. Perhaps I should accompany you.” Isaac smirked.

Edward pointed at Isaac; he was scared stiff. Frightened, he asked, “Wh—What do you want?”

“You do know that Ally is your niece, right? But again, I guess none of you have a kind heart in you, anyway. Her leg was bleeding, too,” said Isaac as he glanced at Edward’s injured leg.

Edward’s eyes widened as Isaac aimed and trampled on his injured leg.

There were multiple loud cracks, like someone treading on dry branches. Edward shut his eyes, veins popping up across his temple, and let out a piercing shriek.

“I’ll be here tomorrow morning—we’ll attend the funeral together. You might want to give Horace a head’s up that I’m still alive,” said Isaac as he left.
