When Isaac saw Harry’s expression, his heart stopped. Could something have happened?

“Sir, I just gave Nick as well as Brian’s secretary a call. They're currently at a meeting in the capital city. They got the notice late last night, and it seems like they still can’t get out of it yet.”

“Is that so?” Isaac’s eyes narrowed, his body exuding waves of fury.

How dare they stand him up? The Backlane Boys sure was a piece of work!

“Sir, don’t get mad yet. They said they’ve made some arrangements and will come right away!” Harry was also confused, but from what Nick said, it seemed as though he had a surprise planned.

Edward, who was seated with the rest of the Gould and Booth families, burst out laughing at that point. He said in a loud voice, “I happen to have a friend from the capital city, and he told me that the Backlane Boys are still stuck in a meeting there. Pecling is over 1000 miles away from here. Even if they somehow grew wings, they still wouldn’t be able to fly over.”
