Connor walked up to Silvia and looked at her coldly, saying, “If Mr. Garten can’t cure our son, then no one else in the world can do so. If you don’t know anything, then keep your mouth shut and wait here! If our son ends up dying, then there’s nothing I can say because that’s my fate. No one else is to blame.”

Connor had always been the calm and steady one, but even now, he was seething with anger. Mrs. Hart was terrified and dared not move a muscle. Even Ian dared not make a fuss anymore.

A janitor came along and set up an umbrella and a few chairs. Connor, his wife, and his secretary waited under the shade.

There was nothing Ian could do but leave, no matter how much he didn’t want to.

It got dark. The building was still silent without a single peep. Occasionally, the trio would get spooked by a wild cat hissing and meowing in the bushes.

Sometime past midnight, just as Connor and the others were on the verge of falling asleep, they all suddenly heard a chilling scream from inside.
