Chapter 75
Things were about to get messy. It was safer to keep out of the center of the storm.

“Mr. Garten, the Owens family has been in the military for generations. Perhaps you want to—” Watson tried to make peace. He had no idea what would happen if this went on.

“Did I ask you for advice?” Isaac snorted as he looked at Watson.

Watson’s heart throbbed furiously, and he shook his head immediately. “No, I wouldn’t dare.”

Isaac walked toward Wyatt and Charles slowly. Charles raised his dagger as he backed up, shouting, “Stay where you are. Take one more step, and I’ll show you.”

Isaac darted forward and slapped Charles. Charles swiveled from the force of the slap, and his dagger dropped to the floor with a thud.

“Show me what, exactly?”

He turned and slapped Wyatt too. “Remember this. There are no widows in the Booth family. There is only Allegra Booth. Get it?”

Wyatt held his burning cheek, his eyes spitting fire, but he averted his gaze.
