Both Jane and Old Taylor were shocked.

Charles thought that Isaac was definitely bluffing. He had stayed in the north for three years; when he came back, people nicknamed him “the Southland Boozer”. He’d met good drinkers before, but he’d never seen someone who drank highly alcoholic drinks by the barrel.

“Fine, let’s drink. You start.” Charles smacked the table, brimming with arrogance.

Diana poured half a barrel of liquor into each bucket, giving them about six pints of liquor each. Just looking at it made her feel faint. Drinking this amount wouldn’t kill them, right?

But when she remembered how that asshole had ridiculed her, her concern then dissipated.

Isaac lifted the bucket, raised his head, and began to gulp it down.

He guzzled the strong alcoholic drink. The dining room was so silent that it was scary. Everyone watched with eyes as wide as saucers as Isaac’s Adam’s apple bobbed up and down nonstop, as if he was drinking water.
