As the bug hit the wall, Raylin walked forward without giving it another look, he walked up to Siara and saw her looking up at him with fading eyes, even as she bleed out she didn’t seem to blame him at all, and a light smile touched the corners of her lips. Raylin looked deeply at her, and his face lightened as he looked down at her, he crouched down and set a hand against her wound, “The radiance of the honourable shines brightly in you, brighter than it does in most,” as he spoke a bit of energy leaked out of his palm plugging up the wound where blood constantly leaked from her neck. Raylin’s face stiffened when he felt how cold Siara’s body had become, she was almost like a corpse. Smack. Raylin took a sudden hit to the face, Melissa’s bloody hands struck hard enough to send his head wobbling, her bloody hands left their mark on his face. “Damn you,” Melissa spat in fury, she could tell that it was a hopeless case to save Siara, even though the wound was now sealed, she had lost far too much blood. “This is all because of you, do you have any idea how important her life is?” she shouted in anger, had she had any more strength to use she would have killed him then and there. Dalis woke up to a dark and empty room, well dark by the standards of other races. It was a tiny room that had a single toilet for him to do his business and about enough space for him to curl up on the floor. There were no windows or lights, and the door was sealed shut not allowing even the slightest trace of light to pass through, ordinarily he would have found the situation amusing. Locking a person up in a dark and cramped space was seen as some type of punishment, the tiny and dark space did little to Dalis, but his real punishment was not knowing what had happened. He vaguely remembered what happened, he remembered the floor covered in Siara’s blood, then everything after that felt so distant, bits and pieces of Raylin taking over flashed before his eyes. Layla watched as Dalis entered the room, she looked on with a stern expression as their eyes met, she could see the surprise in his eyes. “Siara, is she…” Dalis began to ask, his eyes quickly darted away to meet the ground. “My niece is in recovery, rest assured her condition is stable… for now,” Layla replied sternly, she could see the visible relief in Dalis’s body language the moment she spoke. “Take a seat,” she invited him to the seat that sat opposite her. Dalis shifted with discomfort and took his seat all the while he was doing his best to avoid looking at Layla. “May I know what this is about?” he asked, since Siara was alright he could guess that he was going to receive some punishment. “Look at me when you speak child,” Layla snapped at him in a hard yet motherly tone, she sounded like an angered mother, chastising a child’s actions. “Holy shit,” Dalis muttered with a twitch of his eye, her snappy tone almost got him to jump. Dalis winced as the intense light shone down on him, until just a moment ago the room was dark, but he could see everyone as they gathered in the stands. There were thirteen seats, 10 of which formed a circle, the other 3 stood further back, in those three seats was the duke, the duchess, and in the third seat Siara was supposed to be seated. But due to her condition she was absent from the trial, instead another woman sat her place, Dalis couldn’t be certain of the woman’s identity, but she did remind him of the girl he had seen Siara arguing with during the awakening. That was when the beam of light struck down and forced him to shut his eyes, after he blinked the light was no longer as intense, but due to the intense light that hit him it was hard to make out the details of the rest of the room. Ariana looked down with every intention to find any flaws in the story that could be used against him, she already had one in mind. “Dreamer would you confirm to everyone here that you are a first accord evolver?” she asked. Dalis frowned, “Would you explain what this has to do with the course of events?” he asked. Ariana didn’t seem too happy about it, but since he asked she had to give an explanation, “You were able to combat a second accord Monstrous beast, there have been rare cases of first accord evolvers being able to duel second accord Cruel beasts but as for Monstrous rank beasts you would have to be the first,” she stated calmly, she was certain that she caught him as someone who lied about his rank. Dalis already had an explanation ready for such a question, “I am of the first accord,” he answered. Ariana smiled as if victorious, as a murmur passed through the leaders, “For clarity of your strength would you be willing to disclose your level to the court?” she asked.
