Su Jin then approached the sword that called him, the handle of the sword was pitch black while the body of the sword was blood red, the sword gave off an icy and eerie aura almost as if it were created from death. Su Jin stood in front of the sword and minutes later looked back and asked, "What do I do now?" the sword had kept quiet now even though it was the one that called Su Jin over.
The duo wanted to ask why he had been there for a few minutes if he didn't know what to do. "Drip some of your blood on the sword and see if it'll recognise you as its master." said his father. Su Jin nodded before he bit his thumb and created a gash where a single drop of blood flowed out of his thumb but immediately after the drop of blood flowed out and fell on the sword, the entire room was filled with a rich and sweet fragrance.
The duo's faces were as red as a tomato as their visions became blurry and they collapsed on the ground, the red sword also vibrated and changed colour from blood red to a ash grey colour before it turned into a wisp of light that entered his body, a sword tattoo appeared on his palm of his right hand. Su Jin's aura instantly became cold and sharp while he himself seemed to become a different person, his eyes seemed vacant and he felt himself become more confident.
A sword of belief was built by him that he wouldn't lose to anyone anything if he had a sword in hand. A sword embryo formed in his Soul Sea and after it had fully formed, his gourd soul absorbed the sword embryo and he couldn't take it out no matter what he did. Seeing that there was nothing he could do now that the sword embryo had been devoured by his gourd soul,he put it to the back of his mind as he grabbed these two grown ups and left the place. A name suddenly appeared in his mind while carrying the two.
"Sword Of Solitude"
This was the name of this sword that was now his own. He quickly left the treasury with the two collapsed brothers, the reason they had collapsed in the first place was due to his blood. His blood was highly concentrated in wine that they couldn't even stand its aroma,if Su Jin's body was a gourd then his blood would be the wine and the best wine this world had to offer. He then returned to his room and tried to summon the sword but couldn't, he tried all kinds of experiments to no avail and had no choice but to give up.
He then sat cross legged and began cultivating but nothing happened, no Spirit Qi in the surroundings was being absorbed by his body to say the least, he couldn't even move it towards him. He had been doing the same thing since he came back but the results were still the same, wasting time. "I'm a cultivator who can't cultivate. How funny is that?" it was really funny to come across someone at Su Jin's level who couldn't cultivate.
"Let's just forget about it." he then sighed before sleeping and woke up the next day, "There's no fucking history about this sword! What fucking secrets?! I can't believe I trusted my old man when he was clearly playing with me." he took a bath and went to eat breakfast. When you were at Su Jin's level or or rather a cultivator, eating food that wasn't from magical beasts could be considered as one ruining their own future as these types of food become impurities once they enter the body and unique treasures are needed to expell the impurities from the body.
Days turned into weeks and weeks into a month, the day of his departure had finally come and was time for him to leave . The duo of brothers watched as Su Jin entered a luxurious carriage that was being pulled by two magical horse beasts. Before he entered the carriage, he left words of encouragement to the duo, "The next time we meet I'll be at your level so make sure to work hard and we shall spar when I return!" then entered the carriage and left.
"Brother, we really have to work hard or that brat will beat us black and blue when he returns. How embarrassing will that be?!" "Let's improve quickly so that we beat up his arrogant ass!" the both of them then rushed back to the courtyard to improve themselves.
...
Meanwhile inside the carriage, Su Jin found out that there was already someone in the courtyard and he was at the same level as his father and uncle, Unification Realm expert. His job was to ensure that Su Jin was safe and sound until he reached the Royal City and this trip would definitely be fraught with danger. The journey wasn't just fraught with danger, it was also very long and would take at least almost an entire month to reach his destination.
The man inside the carriage didn't even bother to talk to Su Jin when he initiated a conversation much less introduce himself. Su Jin knew exactly why this man was acting this way as he had also once been this kind of person, arrogant and thought himself above everyone just because he came from the most prosperous city apart from the Royal City and his high status. Su Jin chose to take a nap when he he saw that this trip would be a boring one.
The journey was peaceful for a couple of days before it became a bumpy ride, they came across many bandits that the mysterious man fortunately took care of but the bandits they came across this time around weren't so simple. "Vice Leader of the Pig Butchering Bandits has arrived! Quickly come out of the carriage or don't me for whatever happens after!" the Pig Butchering Bandits were the ones with their most fearsome reputation and no one dared mess with them.
They have killed many, raped many and have took from many and no one could do anything about it, it was rumoured that their leader was very powerful that non dared mess with them even after their atrocious actions. The two got out of the carriage, the coachman was on his knees while pleading for his life. Once out, they were surrounded by many bandits, hundreds of them even. Leading them was a middle aged man with a huge scar on his face and broad and bare chest, he held a great sword as he placed it on his shoulder.
"I am an escort from the Royal house, tasked personally by his Majesty to bring this kid back to the Royal City. Let us pass and you shall be forgiven for your blunder!" the escort spoke arrogantly, there was a slightest fear in his eyes as he spoke. Su Jin on the other hand became vigilant towards the escort as this escort didn't seem to be trustworthy and for various reasons which he kept to himself as he wanted to see how he was going to handle this matter.
"Royal house? You're right when you say we made a blunder but we the Pig Butchering Bandits fear no one, not even the royalties and to pass here is very simple, pay to pass!" said the Vice Leader spoke. The escort didn't say anything more and took out a storage pouch from his storage ring and tossed it to the bandit. Vice Leader smiled brightly when he saw the amount of money inside, just as they were about to leave, Vice Leader stopped them.
"I only allowed you to leave, not the boy behind you, he also has to pay to pass." said the Vice Leader, the escort's face changed as he fumed with anger, "Damn bandit, don't go too far or else you might regret it!" he shouted angrily. Surprisingly, Su Jin was very calm even when he's life was in danger. The other bandits were astonished by how calm Su Jin was, they wondered if he was mentally ill or was just dumb as to not understand the situation he was in.
"Hey, stop wasting time and give the bandit what he wants! Time is money, don't you know that?!" said Su Jin with his nonchalant expression. The escort was also surprised by Su Jin's expression, he wondered if Su Jin was acting tough or was just dumb, it also took him time to understand what Su Jin just said. "Why are you just staring at me. I'm straight as a ruler if that's what you're thinking!" he said as he took a few steps back.
The escort just dumbly looked at Su Jin with his brain slowly processing this information and when it finally made sense, his face became beet red, "Fuck you! I'm not interested in guys!" he said. "Then pay that damn guy and let's quickly be on our way!" said Su Jin. The escort wanted to refuse but when he remembered his mission, he had no choice but to do as Su Jin. 'You'll pay for this once we reach the city!' swore the escort to himself.
The Vice Leader was very happy for the earnings he had made, "Thank you for your patronage!" the escort almost spat blood when he heard what the Vice Leader said. "Let's go!" they went to the carriage but just when they were about to enter, the Vice Leader stopped them yet again. "Wait a minute!" "What is it now?!" the escort almost snapped from all the pent up frustrations. "That scarf, I like it. Give it to me!" he said as he pointed at the scarf wrapped around Su Jin's neck.
The escort looked at followed the Vice Leader's finger and when he saw it pointing at Su Jin's scarf, an unnoticed smile crept on his face, 'Great! Let's see what you do without my help, hahaha!' he laughed inwardly and kept a straight face. "Just give him the scarf and let's be on our way." said the escort, what he didn't expect was Su Jin's response, "Give him your mother!" cursed Su Jin.
"Give me the scarf or you won't leave!" shouted the Vice Leader impatiently. The temperature suddenly dropped by a few degrees as Su Jin slowly turned to and looked at the Vice Leader coldly, "Don't go too far!" his words were so cold that they sent shivers down the bandits spines except and that included the Vice Leader. The Vice Leader was shocked for a moment, 'How can I be intimidated by a Soul Realm brat? I'm at the Unification Realm for crying out loud!" he thought to himself.
His embarrassment then turned into anger as he also responded with a cold look, even released his Unification Realm pressure. "So what if I go too far! You don't plan on going against this many of us right?!" he sneered but Su Jin seemingly to not have been affected by the pressure or gaze, didn't budge an inch. "Don't do something you'll regret later!"
"Hahaha, boy! There's nothing that I've ever done and regretted it in my life so will you give me that damn piece of cloth or will you die trying to protect it!" said Vice Leader.
Just when he was about to continue speaking, he felt a sharp aura lock in on him and when he looked closer, he saw Su Jin holding a sword that appeared out of nowhere. Su Jin then swung horizontally as a red light that emitted a sharp aura appeared and spread in an arc, the Vice Leader involuntarily closed his eyes for about a minute, he only opened them when he heard the sound of horses walking.
"You went too far! Next time it will be your head that I'm taking!" Su Jin's voice sounded in his ears as he stared dumbfoundedly at the carriage. Sneering, he shouted...
"ATTACK!!!"
Not only did he not hear the roars of his men, he didn't feel the ground quake from them rushing towards the enemy,it was then that something struck him and he realised something,he looked around only too see that all his men had been beheaded. His back was immediately drenched in sweat as he wiped the sweat on his forehead, "Just what kind of monster did I offend?!"
The escort sat quietly in the carriage while Su Jin slept, it seemed that Su Jin enjoyed sleeping because of his time was spent on him sleeping. The escort was wondering Su Jin had managed to kill hundreds of people with just a wave of his sword, it was truly inconceivable and terrifying. ' No wonder His Majesty gave the order personally, he's a monster!' thought the escort to himself. He then looked out the window of the carriage and it was already dark outside. "Let's stop here!" he said to the coachman. He then created a campfire and sat with the coachman while Su Jin continued to sleep in the carriage. "What do you think of him?" the escort asked the coachman, they were surrounded by a barrier so that no one could eavesdrop on their conversation. If Su Jin was here, he would have been shocked because the coachman seemed like an ordinary person but was actually an expert. "His Majesty's foresight truly is amazing. I thought we were going to pick up trash, who would have thought we
Two horses from afar could be seen running at an incredible speed, there was a young man riding one of the horses while two middle aged man rode on the second one. The trio was practically wearing drags and looked nothing like warriors but like that of homeless men, their clothes were torn while their faces were covered in dirt and dust, not to mention how messy their hair was. The dark circles on their eyes spoke for themselves that they hadn't slept in days.Although cultivators in their levels wouldn't need much sleep since they had so much energy as cultivators, it was another story if they had exhausted that energy. To say they went through a lot would be an understatement, it was better to say they literally went through hell. They had to hide, fight and even bet their lives sometimes just to leave that hell hole. And after days if not weeks in that hell hole, they finally saw a glimpse of the huge city gates that gave them hope to continue foward. "Watching the hobos slowly app
There were knights inside the throne room standing not far from the door, they were surprised when they saw His Majesty's surprised and constricted expression. "Your Majesty, I got to say that I didn't expect you to not be a man." said Su Jin calmly. Su Jin's golden eyes were filled with admiration but what Su Jin didn't expect was for the Emperor's face to become cold, everyone inside the throne room except for the Empress became as pale as paper. The temperature inside dropped by many levels and breathing became extremely hard, the mortal Su Jin thought His Majesty had turned into an immortal in a split second. "What did you just say to me?!" His Majesty's voice was so cold they could feel their spines tingling. Even the Empress was perplexed by Su Jin's words. Although Su Jin had also become pale, his face was regaining its rosiness and his breathing was normal unlike everyone else here. This literally stunned His Majesty that his eyes almost fell off of his eye sockets, 'Just what
Su Jin has never thought of himself as a genius, even after finding out that he cultivate, he still doubted himself. This was probably due to the fact that he was born without talent for martial arts so even now, he thought that he was still not talented which was why he couldn't break through to the Unification Realm. Coming to the conclusion that his Will was also trash, he went into a depressed state and just wanted to cry.It was bad enough being looked down by commoners but now, even a staircase was looking down on him, it was just too much for him to handle and though he was now twenty eight years old, his mind was still that of an eighteen year old boy since he he spent his ten years asleep. He hadn't had a chance to grow his mind. "Just why? Why am I still trash? Aren't I also trying my very best to change my fate,I also work very hard so why am I still so weak?" tears ran down Su Jin's face as he continued walking up the stairs. "I was without talent, even commoners were bet
Everyone was woken up by the loud laughter that seemed to resound throughout the entire Royal City but no matter where they looked, they didn't know where this laughter was coming from and from how this laughter was heard by everyone in the city, it was obvious that he was very powerful. Back in the second tallest mountain peak, everyone there had already woken up including His Majesty and Elder Gao, the youths on the staircase continued climbing up and this time even faster. In fact, there was no one in the city, Inner Heavens and Heavenly Palace who didn't experience a breakthrough in their cultivation and everyone was so happy that some of them even started to cry. Some of them had been stuck at the same bottleneck for many years and had absolutely no hope in advancing unless they got treasures capable of doing so and they would have long used the treasure if they had found it.Everyone gazed at the young man floating in the sky, he had silver hair that reached his shoulders, his
As Su Jin continued walking up the stairs, the blue snake hovering above him began to evolve with every ten thousand steps he took. Currently, it had grown longer and its scales shimmering in a beautiful ocean blue colour, it even exuded a majestic aura as if it was actually alive. Su Jin didn't know that he had attracted quite some attention for himself, he seemed to shine brilliantly wherever he was and His Majesty had to clean up after him. The reason no one had bothered him for the past few days was due to His Majesty's actions. He had personally took it upon himself to erase everyones memory of the phenomena Su Jin had caused. And even erased their memories of when they broke through but it could also be seen as doing it for himself. His actions were no different from him trying to tie Su Jin to his Empire. In simple terms, Su Jin would be very grateful to him since being in the limelight and being too outstanding wasn't necessarily a good thing, some people may see it as a thr
Su Jin had immediately drank the wine before the Azure Dragon King could continue talking about it. "Damn drunkard! Couldn't you have waited until I finished my explanation of the wine!" the Azure Dragon King was now regretting his decision. This wine wasn't ordinary but wine meant to be drank by extremely powerful experts and its potency wasn't something that just anyone could handle. Even he had to be careful when he found this wine. Dragon's Breath wasn't just any one but one made from dragon's fire. He also couldn't seal the wine and let Su Jin slowly refine it since it was already too late and even if it wasn't, the wine was violent in nature that Su Jin would become a cripple with the energy destroying him from the inside out, the worst case scenario was Su Jin exploding. Su Jin's skin at this point was redder than blood and the temperature had rose to such extremes that the Heavenly Steps were melting. This artifact looked nothing more than trash, first Su Jin cracked it with
After reaching the Heavenly Palace, Su Jin asked the guards where the library was but the guards were too flustered to reply. Su Jin hadn't known about the havoc he had caused, the palace kept shaking as if the end of the world had begun, this left the guards very anxious and not knowing what to do. Su Jin had no choice but to look for it himself, fortunately, His Majesty had warned the guards several times to treat Su Jin with utmost respect and none of them dared not to follow. So Su Jin ended strolling within the palace walls and the guards were kind enough to warn about the restricted areas which only women were allowed to enter. After hours of searching, he finally reached his destination which was an ordinary door without any guards present. Su Jin slowly opened the door and entered,he was immediately assaulted by a strong book smell. Su Jin felt ecstasy and excitement well up in his heart but before he could dive into the world of books, he noticed three figures staring at hi
