Laura is a name I used in my other novel called Laura's journey. If you like a little dark yet sweet adventure story. I highly recommend it. I'm doing my best to make three chapters per week. Thank you very much again... I could not express my gratitude to you who reached this chapter. The main reason why Part 4 of the story is taking too much time is that I made lots of revisions in the middle of the story. The ending of Part 4 is clear but the path going there is mixed up. I'm really sorry for that... As much as possible I'll only post what I think is the best chapter to publish. Thank you again! Stay tuned!
In the cosmos.“The timeline of events changes yet the already written page of their fate never changed. Poor Retto and Falfa, will their love come to a happy ending?”The cosmo witch muttered with her eyes fixed on the page of a red book. She flips seven times until the page turned blank. The witch made a grin on her face thinking that they aren’t that hopeless. This is one of the instances the impossible turned into possible. However, sacrifices should still be made. The witch flipped the pages again three times and read within her mind.“This will fix my boredom…” She said and then turned her glance directly at you.“Oh, I didn’t notice you’re there again… Umm, did you miss me the ever-beautiful, witch of the Cosmos, Elaina…”She placed her hand on her ears.*Whispers~ Whispers~*“What is it? Umm, I’m weird? I’m evil? Ummm, I see… I see…”*Whispers~ Whispers~*“If I’m good? I’ll be helping Retto?”The witch placed her hand on her head and then her fingertips slide to the bridge of
“Hngf!”The breath burst from his throat when her back struck the ground. Retto yanked aside the cloth that clung to his face and struggled in the darkness for a few moments before recognizing that she was in his bedroom. He fell out of bed in his sleep.Retto collected his blankets and climb back into the bed.It was late June now, and although the sunlight was getting warmer, the predawn morning was still freezing. It was mostly because the town they live in was located on a plateau. The lush green forest nearby also gives off a heavy breeze making every morning cold.Retto doesn’t particularly sleep too much. But this time he goes back to bed to get some sleep. But after moments of staying in bed eyes closed. His unable to sleep and give up. He sat up and turned his head to his side where his wife was supposed to be sleeping.“She’s already up…”His someone trying his best to be a good husband and future father of their first child. A 50-meter-tall dragon appeared out of nowhere. Monsters aren’t supposed to get through the barrier of Liana. The barrier of Liana is been protecting the whole continent for hundreds of years. While I was dashing in full throttle something from the past resurfaced in my mind. In the past, the time Falfa and I were still new on this continent. There was a case about the havoc of the horned bear. The main culprit for that was the wyvern that took their shelter away from the bears. I took care of them and finds out that a part of the barrier melted. The hole wasn’t clear to the naked eye and only I who had a gleaming yes could see it. Wyvern noticing the hole is simply dumb luck. However, there must be someone who can see the barrier just like me and… Is this event caused by my ignorance? I want to live life os selfishly thinking of my happiness with Falfa. I don’t want to live like a hero who will selflessly dive into danger ever again. I don’t want that feeling anymore. But why am
“I’m dead!” I sat up as I woke up. Immediately I have my hand on my chest and check my wound. There are no wounds in my chest. My body is perfectly fine. I was skeptical myself and look around. The place where I found myself wasn’t someplace I know. There's no floor but I’m sitting. No walls or anything. The closest description I could ever think of was that this place looks like the starry night sky I usually gaze into. From some angles, this place looks majestic. I didn’t notice immediately, but there was a girl sitting on a throne in front of me. The face same as Elaina's. This girl was the Cosmo witch. “You really mess up there.” She said. “You here to help me again. Thank you so much…” “Help you?” The witch gives me a cold gaze. My limbs were torn apart and my head was skewered by a golden sword. “... Don’t get ahead of yourself. I’m not helping you or anything. Well, in some aspect we can say that I was helping you. I mean, you are dead right now and I’m the only one wh
“Princess Alina… Your tea is ready.” Miko placed the cup of tea accompanied by several variations of sweets. As for the girl in question--Alina-- was busy glazing into the unknown. For what reason she’s looking high up in the clear blue sky? For sure Alina won’t be adoring the blue sky. She is not the type of person who likes beautiful things after all. The craziest part was that Alina was standing in the same spot in front of the giant window for one week. She’s not sleeping or eating anything. Her eyes were simply fixed on something. Miku deep in her heart was worried and would like to ask what is going on. But if she does, that might be the end of her. In other words, death. Miku simply support her in whatever Alina wanted. There’s still the tea she serves earlier and Alina’s favorite strawberry shortcake. Miku can’t do anything but have a deep breath and placed the untouched food back into her pushcart. “Good night milady.” Miku greeted her and bowed her head before leaving Al
Dashing at the dunes of the great desert back to Foire territory. I’m not planning on going to Fiore to ask for help from the knights. I’m merely going to use the route from Fiore to Yuno kingdom. Knights of order aid will be great, but I decided not to bother them. The last time I visited, I find out that they were having a long battle between the kingdom knights. The demon king might be gone, but the war continues. It will be inconsiderate of me if I ask them for a selfish favor. I have no exact plan on how I’m going to save Falfa. This might seem like jumping on a cliff, but I can’t help myself to jump. I have to save Falfa no matter what. This desperation is driving me to my limit. I’m still full of hatred for the recent events. Why Belle would do something like this? Belle is not the type of girl who will order such a cruel task. I believe in her. If ever I got a chance to get inside the Yuno Kingdom. I’ll make sure to have a conversation with her. Overthinking about it won’t br
Eden city, City hall. Dia clutched her temples trying to relieve some stress. “What is going on?” She whispered and stood up from her seat to get some tea. (I was gone for quite a while and problems pile up. Is that murderous Latina still doing her job? I take that back, she’s doing her job. She hated me more than anyone in this world. But she’s a big help, that’s for sure. I could not imagine myself doing this intense work without her.) Dia spawled back in her seat. She blow the hot steam first and sniff the relaxing aroma for a moment before she made her first little sip. She then shifted her sight to the paper laying on the desk. Most of them are report letters for spies Dia deployed to investigate other kingdoms' actions. The land that pull her interest the most was the neighboring country Ruki kingdom and The remote Islands of Youko. Youko wasn’t part of the world organization and they always push any offer from other countries as if saying that they could survive on their
A tough cookie like myself always begins his day with a nice cup of coffee. For us who dwelled in the shadows, making our living as spies, there was nothing better than taking up a cup of strong coffee to prevent our heads from feeling sleepy. Pumping ourselves full of coffee and drugs was the way of the world-weary. I mixed a drop of the medicine into my coffee and drank it down. This is my daily routine. I’d never been sure of what was in those drugs. I took them from a mail-order catalog. But they were super expensive, so I was convinced they were beneficial to my health. I took the cup and sipped it. “Bleh! So bitter…” This strong flavor was actually what banished sleepiness. Probably. That wasn’t written anywhere in the books, though. Coffee was bitter and gross and seriously tasted like mud, which triggered my gag reflex and made drowsiness my second priority. It didn’t taste anything like how they describe it in the spy novels. They wrote that black coffee was delicious or
