Before the sunrise.
Hanayuki, together with Shaymi and Ninym, immediately goes toward the train station. They got their tickets immediately and rode the long train. It was Shaymi’s first time riding a train and it excited her. Her pupils beam in light and her body is giggling. She thought that this long mechanical vehicle was some sort of dragon told in ancient books.
Ever since Hanayuki and Shaymi started their adventure together they have always been riding carriages, but mostly they are both walking on foot. From one town to the next.
It was horrible for a little girl to walk long distances. But it is something that is already explained to Shaymi. Shaymi doesn’t have any complaints since Hanyuki is the one protecting her and giving her food.
Excited but still sleepy, the two girls, Shaymi and Ninym, end up sleeping in their seats waiting for the train to reach their destination. Hanayuki, meanwhile, decides to stay vigilant and focus on her
After the defeat of the Luster Dragon. An altar appeared in the middle of the boss's room. Hanayuki gestured her hand toward the altar and grinned. Her smile was like saying that the grief of losing a friend is finally over. Ninym was overjoyed and immediately walked to the altar. The altar glows in brilliant blinding light for a few seconds. The light formed a small gem with all imaginable glowing inside of it.“So pretty.”“The spirit gem will only appear to the spirit user with a great bond with her spirit friend.”Holding with both of her hands. Ninym's tears drop on the gem.“I can see my friend again… Thank you so much Hanayuki.”“I’m happy that I could help. Too bad we can’t revive her inside this cave. The spirited game has a condition on item activation. It needs to be nighttime to activate the gem.”Tears were still in her eyes. Ninym wiped it with her arms.
After the ambush, Hanayuki immediately calls the knights and hands over the band of thieves she had just caught. The knights are delighted by Hanayuki’s assistance in capturing the wanted woman. Leaving plenty of rewards for Hanayuki. Without hesitation, she took the money and waved her hands. The day was over and they were all returning to the Inn. Inside the room, Hanayuki finds the perfect opportunity to have a conversation with Ninym.“Sorry… Our meeting wasn’t an accident. I’ve been tailing the woman named Rosa this entire time… I’m looking for proof if she is truly the leader of the Raven thieves. Finding a perfect opportunity to capture her.”Ninym listened carefully to the apologetic Hanayuki. She shook her head and took a glance into Hanayuki’s eyes. No hint of anger or negative emotion was found in her. A nice smile was presented.“I understand… That means Hanayuki was there wh
“We’re here… The holy city… Mari kingdom, the capital city, Elysium.” Ruti said with a big smile on her face. Lightcrest had their family originated from this city before they go to Fiore kingdom thousand years ago according to history. The scenery around the city sure is pleasant and paradise-like. The city is not crowded as I expected it to be. There are barely any structures around us. The only structure that stands out was the giant temple in the city's heart. The temple was called Light sanctuary, a place where the angels are said to appear. Inside the temple, it will hold a meeting that will decide what happened in the world. Turning my glance to Dia. I could sense the uneasiness on her face. “What’s the matter?” “Umm, Nothing… More than hundreds of years have passed since I set y foot here. I wonder if they can still accept me.” “They invited you… Of course, they will give accept you here.” Ruti said to Dia. “I wonder if it’s okay…” “I never mentioned it before, but t
“Don’t tell me these things are mixed into the dish…” Dia was sitting across from me, glaring hatefully at her special lunch, which was the same as her. For no reason other than the price, we both chose the most inexpensive option, but apparently, she had found something disagreeable about it, “You don’t like mushrooms?” Dia asked, peering at her plate. She had carefully removed the mushrooms from her pasta. Dia glared daggers at the limp pieces of fungus separated from the rest of her meal. “I hate them! I mean, they grow off of trees! This means that these things are the trees right? I don’t make a habit of eating trees, plus they have a smiley texture, and worst of all, they have this strange shape! It is vile. I should be the one asking about how you can manage to stomach them. It makes no sense!” She claimed, puffing out her cheeks. I saw now that Dia had built up an irrational hatred toward mushrooms. “You sure did have some childish side… Please take and eat some. Havin
Early in the morning, all the invited people to participate in the world leaders' meeting were all gathered inside the holy temple. Inside the wide room, Wide beautiful view of the entirety of Mari's main city. Thick towering white pillars and polished white tiles with diamond patterns. Dia together with us arrived earlier than the others. Already seating on one of the seats was one of the world leaders. He doesn’t wear a top. He only wears red jeans and red cope. Part of his hand was scale-like lizards. Noticing us walking he had a stared at me and his eyes widened followed by a small grin. Beside him were two similar-looking girls in maid outfits. Girls with horns and dragon tails. One of the maids bends her body and whispers into the topless guy's ear. Those features… Seems like The Supreme dragon race isn’t extinct in this timeline. History had changed. In the new reality, the supreme dragon might also be one of the world leaders. “I felt a sudden fear.” Falfa said as we passe
They vanished… Without a trace… Like myself, everyone in the meeting was surprised by what they saw. “Is that some kind of magic?” “Nope, I didn’t sense any magic chanted… More like she performed some kind of miracle.” Ruti responded. “Since everyone is here the meeting should start.” “What did you do to them?” “Umm… They don’t come here because they are not invited… They’re ever been invited. They never set foot in Elysium nor this sacred temple. They never even set foot here in my kingdom.” She said. Taking a clear glance at her with my gleaming eyes. Colors that I usually see were not found. I can’t see anything from her magic or life energy. “Why do we have the same face?” Dia asked standing up from her seat. She simply shook her head and turned her body away from us. “A coincidence, I guess… Don’t think too much about yourself. What’s important is that the temple returns to its peaceful state. I’ll leave the meeting to the pope. For the people here, I wish that we all
“I can explain…” Dia closed her eyes briefly and followed with a sigh. “No need, this book is irrelevant to the dungeons… I’m just a little disappointed that you sneak inside my office just to take these books.” “What are those books? What is this game? Who exactly are the players?” “I already answer that question before… Players are individuals from another world. Universe separated from ours… They come here to play this game, a game where they must find a way to defeat the god, the witch of beginnings. A game as vast as the universe. Different worlds with each lore and more. The player's task is to defeat the god to clear the game.” Dia explained. Everything is just a game. Many people already lost their lives in this battle. To find out that it was just a game to the god. I can’t just believe it. Lowering my head down and my vision darkens with rage. “After clearing this game what will happen?” I asked. Dia was in brief pause hearing my serious tone. She gulps her saliva a
The sky was still darkened half and the sun is still not emerging from its deep sleep. Cold wind blows from the east and flowers dance in its wake. I was sitting on the wooden fence waiting on the sunrise. Holding my sword and deep in thought. Glancing at my sword I look at my own reflection again. Seeing myself I could tell that I’ve changed. I didn’t know if it is for the better or worst. Those innocent eyes I have dreaming to become a hero were gone. Replaced by something unknown. Being a hero… This is a title I always wanted since I was a kid. Inspired by heroes' stories and later on, I find out they are called players. I always think they are cool and awesome. People fight for the sake of others. Don’t get me wrong, I do like fighting for others, especially for the people I care about. Dia, Falfa, my friends, and Eden city. Deep inside my chest. What is this feeling? This feeling of something is missing or taken away. “Glenn… If you were here I wonder what you would tell m
