The river releases its cold temperature to the environment. People of the blank world did not only feel it that night, they also heard the current, flowing gradually due to the fear that gave birth to quietness after Amaya confessed to had killed the clipper. Though crickets chirped naturally and normally but to the ears of the people, they were singing a death song for Amaya. Hence, death became the next oxygen in the atmosphere. They could smell it and feel it with the cold temperature of the river. Therefore, some quivered with their bodies while some had their lips vibrating like a ringing Nokia cell phone.
The night had to be a memorable night in the blank world. It must. Jessica had to make sure of that by bringing justice to the dead clipper, and the only possible way to do that was killing Amaya. Therefore she turned to her in the presence of all who remained quiet to see the manner of justice to be carried out. Disappointed, Jacob kept shaking his head, indicating Amaya's stupidity coz Jessica wouldn't take it likely with her after, for her sake, she spared Cynthia's life. Amaya knew it so she knelt down before the old witch approached, bitterly shedding tears. Her bravery reaction alone had won the heart of the people. No one would love to see anything happen to her, but what could they do when they are powerless and vulnerable?
Jessica's footsteps towards Amaya also sent a deadly signal. She swallowed hard then looked down at the poor innocent girl. "What did you just say, Amaya?" her voice wavered.
"I was curious, he attack me, so I defended myself."
"What were you doing at the crime scene?"
Amaya kept quiet.
Jessica's anger arose. She shook her head pitifully. "What a fuck were you doing there, Amaya!" she shouted. Her voice did not only startle the people around, but generated a double echo which sounded at the base the bridge of Kezra.
The fourteen years old girl cried, holding the old woman's garment like a child to her mother. "Please, forgive me, Jessica. I beg you for the sake of the love I have for you." the tears of the girl stirred up emotional atmosphere in the environment that had people like Cynthia shedding tears too.
Quickly, Jessica walked to a clipper, drew out his sward then began to return to clip Amaya. Tension arose among the people when they saw her. No doubt she must clip the innocent girl because she was known for cruelty, wickedness and merciless.
"Jessica, don't." Jacob's voice arose the tension.
"Please, Jessica!" Sunday added, breathing hastily.
Cynthia held her chest, while some people like Benny averted their eyes not to witness the death of the girl.
"Jessica!" Sunday shouted.
Unfortunately, the old witch failed to heed to their lamentation. She mercilessly clipped Amaya by piecing the sward into her abdomen. Blood stained the sward while Amaya fell backward on the ground, holding the wound.
"Amaya!" Sunday ran to her in a slow motion. He was driven by the love of a related blood twin sister not by natural love. But how would he had known when he had no idea what it is to be related by blood thoughtless of the fertilization of two ova by two sperms to form a monozygote and the iniquity in having an intimacy with each other? He carried Amaya like a mother breastfeeding a baby. The girl kept looking at his tears until she close her eyes and began to grow cold.
"Let this serves as an example to all of you!" Jessica began. "No one messes with me and the rules of this world and go Scot-free! Now, go back to your sanctums!" she commanded. "Fast!" she added then turned to Amaya and her brother. "Quickly, Sunday, take her to her room to receive a treatment she's not dead" she whispered.
There was a sudden joy in the heart of the boy when he heard that. So he quickly did as she said. Jessica also had to order Benny, a medical professional, to go treat her immediately. Cynthia didn't need to be told to follow them in order to give a helping hand.
A few minutes later, Jacob met Jessica on the bridge, both spacing into the river without exchanging words, allowing the breeze circulate into their bodies like oxygen in the lungs of a mamal.
"For once I thought you were gonna kill the little girl." Jacob broke the silence without looking at her.
"I knew exactly what I did." She replied.
Jacob glanced at her to explain.
"I cut her right here" Jessica indicated the position on Jacob abdomen. "Not to close in order not to damage any vital organ like the intestine. She's only gonna bleed but will be fine" she looked down at the river and continued. "I did that to bring Sunday closer to her for them to establish feelings together."
"How?"
"I knew Sunday will come for her rescue. The more he gonna stay with her until she's healed, the more both develop feelings and eventually have an intercourse."
Jecob smiled at her intelligence. "You're damn smart, Jessica. This simply means Sunday will be staying here for a while."
"Exactly!"
They chuckled happily until silence took over the bridge. Jacob exhaled exhaustedly and said, "It has been a terrible night. I guess I have to retire to my bed." He began to walk out from the bridge in his 'cow boy' appearance.
"Jacob!" Jessica drew his attention back. "If you ever call my name or prevent me from punishing somebody like you did today, I'll clip you and have your corpse fed by the birds of the sky." She threatened.
Jecob remained quiet for a while, staring at the mouth in which she used to utter the deadly threaten then smiled. He continued walking out of the bridge as Jessica stared at him seriously......
REAL WORLDThe pains of losing a child at birth stirred up her grief. First issue, yet never set eyes on them. She was shattered, devastated and frustrated. Though she never losed hope on seeing her children especially when a stranger busted into her house with a revelation on how the incident happened. Thus, curiosity arose in every part of her body to inquire more about the disappearance of her children. Her name was Celina, the twins mother.Celina walked briskly along the road, roaming her eyes like an escaped convict. She was a woman of late forties, vibrant but emotionally weak. Instability in motion resulted to a constant bumping on pedestrians on her way which got people's attention to her at every point in time. Pakyle, her elder brother, after a week of the attack in her house, invited her to know more about her missing children. She couldn't believe that her brother knew about it for years, yet kept it away from her. That seconded as an addendum to the grief and anger in he
Who created the blank world? Where is it located? How can one communicate with people in the blank world? These are questions, Pakyle smartly wanted to find an answer to, using the two teenagers: Lina and Valentine. To him, they had every ability he wanted; strength and past vision respectively.Lina was a strong young girl, picked from the street by Pakyle when he saw her fighting with street boys. He trained her physically and intellectually. Hence she doesn't reason like a teenager but like an adult. She was on the steering wheel of a car while Valentine seated beside her, occasionally glancing at her and wondering when she learned how to drive thoughtless of using a gun. She pulled over to their destination and stared at Val to see him quivering in fear. So she smiled."You're too handsome to be afraid, Val?" She shuffled a pistol into her boot, covering it with her trouser, then began to wear a black hand gloves. "Do you have a girlfriend? You know...""Can we please, proceed, Li
BLANK WORLDThis is the land of no family, land of no return that seems not to be found on the face of the earth. The mystery of the land does not only supersedes the members but remained unknown to them. A sudden quietness paved around the land for a reason Jimmy was yet to find out from his residence. Sooner did he hear a crying voice from another house, then looked through the window to see clippers running towards the direction with their horses. Subsequently, he hurried out of the sanctum, surged into the building to find a female who had his resemblance, lying dead on the floor. She was the same girl who gave birth the previous day."Marina!" he shouted her name bitterly. Clippers pulled him back as he struggled at the entrance. Female workers wept while others sadly composed themselves at a corner, wallowing in grief. "Marina!" Jimmy kept struggling until they pushed him outside, handled by two huge clippers. Only his voice was heard within the vicinity. "What have you done aga
Once again Cynthia was driven by fear which activated her nervous system, trembling all part of her body and increasing her heartbeat. She wasn't afraid of the question thrown to her but the consequences it might bring if she delivers the answer. Definitely, Jessica won't spare her life for the second time. But she was a good lady who wished Amaya never indulged in the forbidden act of the blank world. So she slowly turned to the young girl who had managed to sit up on the bed, observing Cynthia's trembling attitude."Don't worry, I won't tell Jessica about whatever we discuss here." She assured her. "Tell me all that i need to know about the real world."Cynthia walked to the window where she gazed at the sky as Amaya anticipated her response. "Think of a world where things are made easier and faster." She began still staring through the window. "A world filled with love ones and happy moments." She turned to the young girl with an overwhelming joy that could be seen through the broa

The scary face of the men alone got Valentine's heart beating like a drum. He did not only hear it but also felt it as he hid between Lina and Pakyle who aimed their guns at only a few men coz they were many! How possible can they kill them all without a bullet scratching their skin, hence capturing Valentine as they requested?Silence paved around the lake, soaring throughout the forest. Lina closed her eyes and sensitively opened her ears to hear the sound of water bubbles from the lake which kept pumping out in an interval like the movement of the second-hand of a clock. With the same frequency in tranquillity, she heard the men closely bringing their fingers to the trigger of their guns. Only then did she know that the war had begun.Pakyle, who noticed Lina's readiness shouted. "Val, get down!" He thrusted himself upwards at the same time with Lina like kungfu masters, while Valentine obeyed the command, thus escaping from the men's angry bullets. From air, Lina and Pakyle shot s
Hearing the name, Lina rushed out, first, staring at Valentine just the way he never left his eyes from her. She ran to him and hugged him tightly in the presence of Mrs Kate who glanced at Pakyle, suspecting the kids like an inspector to a suspect. Val left Lina to one of the computers which he began to operate, while others watched him strangely, wondering what he was doing. His fingers on the keyboard were faster than a scorpion in motion."What's happening, Val?" Pakyle broke the silence."I have a bitch to kill" he replied without turning from the computer, while others looked at one another."Who?"Valentine finally turned to them, though a finger rested on the keyboard of the computer. He looked from Lina, across his mother to Pakyle saying, "Jessica is the bitch."The mother gasped dramatically with a hand covering her mouth. "How dare you use such words on a woman? We must go to the priest for confession tonight!" she said."Not tonight, mom coz tonight we are entering into th
BLANK WORLDFlexibly, Jessica loosed her gown from the shoulder region like one who was about to seduce a client. The gown dropped on the floor, leaving only her inner wears. Stepping out from it to the window, she sighted a farm land full of seedlings and workers toiling on it. She was pleased to also see Amaya and Sunday taking a stroll through the farm like love birds she has ways wanted them to be. Suddenly, a door cracked opene behind her--that was Cynthia. She knew it. Therefore she said without turning from the window, "Take the cloth and some other dirty ones and get them washed."Cynthia picked up the gown, squeezing it on her stomach like a child trying to protect a doll from a playful enemy. Surprisingly, she felt something hard in it which she brought out for better examination. She was able to recognize the item. "What? A tracking device?" She thought, staring at it."I can see Amaya is up and kicking, Cynthia" Jessica began to turn from the window, but the lady was sharp
