With a determination burning in his heart like never before, Kai’s fist clenched and his teeth gritted as he looked back at the injured thug leader.

Anger rolled through him like hot air and molten rage almost took over him as his anger just kept boiling over.

He gritted his teeth even harder and all that he had in his mind was to completely defeat that thug leader. All he could see was red, rage pounded in his heart like a heartbeat.

“I should kill you.” He gritted, the words grinding through his teeth as they came out of his mouth but the thug leader, who wasn’t just badly injured but overpowered by Kai’s immense aura, whimpered.

“Please don’t,” he cried, begging for his life as he bowed at Kai’s feet but Kai only looked at him, his eyes weighing the person that had tried to kill him down.

He really shouldn’t let him go scot free but he had other things that he has to focus on and a worthless thug isn’t just worth his time at all.

“I’ll disappear and never show my face to you ever again!” The thug said with conviction but Kai only sneered.

Even though he had to track down the mastermind behind the attack through the Benson family, he couldn’t bear the thought that Jake, that bastard, had actually hired someone to kill him.

The thought of it alone was eating at him like an infested wound and the more he stared at the wounded thug leader, his stomach churned.

“GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!” Kai barked, his words causing the ground to shake and heavy with so much power that even the men that had followed his grandfather couldn’t remain standing.

He emitted an aura of dominance, an aura so commanding that everyone fell to their knees as the thug leader ran away as fast as his legs could carry him without looking back.

The power pulsating through Kai only became stronger, it felt extremely overwhelming and he started to feel like he couldn’t control such power but he could.

The power had only felt overwhelming because it’s been sealed off for so long and his body needs to adapt to the new changes.

“What are you going to do now, Kai, my boy?” His grandfather asked but Kai had made up his mind already, what he wanted to do lurked in his mind.

“I’m going back to teach that bastard Jake a lesson.” Kai declared, his determination clear even to the naked eye.

“He had the audacity to send men to kill me, I knew he hated me but I didn’t think he would go that far.” He continued, anger thrumming in his heart.

“If I hadn’t stopped the medication and awakened, he would have killed me and gotten away with it.” He finished.

Kai was simmering with anger and almost choking on his rage as fury surged through him but he held himself back on the thoughts of the things he could do to Jake.

“He’s not going to go free.” Fabio grunted upon learning the truth about Kai's attack, he was enraged. His eyes were red and his entire demeanor screamed his anger loudly.

“He should suffer the consequences of this! No one touches one of the Grant children, especially the sole heir, and leaves without punishment.” Fabio added.

He fully supported Kai’s decision to not only seek revenge on the Benson family but also to make Kai regret making such a decision instantly.

Fabio had one of the bodyguards drive Kai back to the Benson family villa. The ride was silent, no one could mutter a word around him.

It was as though they were so scared of him that if they could ask permission to breathe around him, they would do that just so that they wouldn’t get on his bad side.

It didn’t take long before they finally got to the villa and a furious Kai made his way out of the car and towards the door that led into the house.

He kicked the door open forcefully, directing all of his anger to his feet and there Jake was, sitting in the living room leisurely, sipping fine wine.

“That bastard!” Kai gritted to himself when he set his eye on Jake who was startled by the way Kai had kicked down the door.

It was also obvious that he was surprised that the goons he had sent to eliminate Kai hadn’t done anything to him at all.

“What are you doing here?!” Jake demanded condescendingly but Kai only smiled, the air around him electrifying as he stared at the devil before him.

“Why?” Kai responded, his voice low and cold but still causing chills to run down Jake’s spine, “are you surprised the bastards you sent didn’t get the job done properly?” He added and Jake shuddered.

Fear was stark and vivid in his eyes as Kai threw the question at him, asking him why he had sent men to attack him.

Jake shook, a wave of apprehension sweeping through him as he looked into Kai’s beastly eyes and icy fear rolled all over his body.

‘Has he always felt this strong?’ Jake thought to himself as he looked at Kai, fear gripping him from the inside out but he was quick to shake it off and regain composure.

He wouldn’t let himself be intimidated by a nobody, a simpleton that his real family adopted can never make him feel fear.

“W— what are you talking about, Kai? Why would you accuse me of such vile things?” Jake said, his eyes peering into Kai’s eyes before he suddenly burst out laughing, mocking Kai.

“Was that the kind of reaction you were expecting?” He asked, looking around as his laughter stopped abruptly.

“Well, bummer! I sent them to kill you because you’re an annoying piece of trash that should never live to see another day!” Jake spat. He no longer felt the need to pretend like he was a good person in front of Kai.

“You’re nothing more than an adopted son, living a life worse than the servants in this household!” Jake mocked as he spewed those venomous words at Kai.

“If you think that your pathetic life is worth living then you had better think again!” He continued, “and I won’t stop. I won’t stop until everyone hates you to the point that they wouldn’t be able to stand seeing you.”

“I’m going to make your life miserable, I’ll make your life a living hell before making sure that you get sent out of the Benson family!” Jake proclaimed.

Kai didn’t care as he listened to Jake talk on and on, he looked down and repaired the wrist of his shirt, sneering before punching Jake directly in the face.

Jake’s loud cry resonated through the room as Kai gave him a serious beating but Kai didn’t stop. He beat Jake up so much that Jake became covered in blood.

“That’s for sending those goons out to kill me.” Kai said after he had finished beating the living daylight out of Jake but Jake didn’t want to back down despite losing.

“You think you’ll get away with this?” Jake yelled as he retorted, “you’re sick, aren’t you? You’re going to die from not having money for your medications, you wretched son of a gun!” Jake spat.

Kai, knowing that nothing was wrong with him, didn’t say anything as he only ignored Jake and walked away with a dominating, electrifying and nonchalant air.

He doesn’t care anymore.
