Chapter 4: Manifesto

Just beside the captain was the knight in silver armor, the knight looked shocked as he saw the armored Arthur barging in the room.

The captain stood still and immediately took his medicine to stop shaking in front of Arthur.

"I need you to distribute all of this breads to all of the orphans and everyone in need." Arthur said before taking out one percent of the bread that he had in his inventory.

The room was almost filled with bread and Arthur had to put all of the bread back in his inventory.

"Uhh, yes sir. But I'm afraid that might cause you a few silver for the transportation." The captain said.

Arthur then took out a gold coin and put it on the captains table. "That should cover it. And that is not the only bread that I have. I will pile everything outside the building." Arthur said before walking out of the building and leaving all of his bread right in front of it.

As the captain came out of the building he saw the mountain of bread covering the sun from shining on him. The knight saw the bread and looked at the captain. "I don't think he is real threat... I think he just has a weird way of helping..." The knight said.

The captain nodded before looking at the pile of bread and sighed.

"Guards! We have a mission! Anyone who joins will get a bonus!" The captain shouted.

Meanwhile Arthur was still trying to find ways of how he could become more popular, 'Since inspiration from politicians gave me good ideas, maybe I should use more methods from them...' Arthur thought before remembering that he and his father was also politicians in the past.

He remembered that another way of how politicians raised public interest in them was to give promises before the election. "Maybe, if I promise the people of this city that I will solve a certain problem maybe my popularity will increase?" He asked himself before trying to think about what problems that the citizens of the city could possibly have.

He then saw one of the youngsters in fine clothing walking down the brick streets and was about to approach him, but before he could he looked ay his own armor. 'I can't use this armor and try to ask people for honest opinions, it will scare them.' Arthur thought before changing his armor to a navy blue suit and red tie like how most of the Presidents will use.

Arthur made sure to put perfume and styled his hair before walking to the young lad across the street. "Hey, would you mind answering for a survey?" Arthur asked with a smile.

"Uhh, sure." The young man said while looking at Arthur with a interested look.

"What do you think is the biggest problem in this city?" Arthur asked.

The young man closed his eyes and looked like he was thinking hard about it, "To be honest there is not just one problem, there are more. But I think the biggest problem is that we as the citizens do not have the right to free speech, everytime we try to make our voices be heard the royal guards will start beating us up. And not to mention the high taxes, I heard the king had been using it to buy booze from the east, the guards are using them too..." The young man said with while looking around to see if anyone was looking at them talk, it eas clear that he was scared.

"Hey, keep your head up high, things will get better." Arthur said before walking away.

"So, no freedom of speech and high taxes... That is not something that I could solve easily..." Arthur thought before realizing that the difficulty has suddenly increase.

Arthur then though about it again, what can he do to solve this kinds of problem. "This is gonna be hard, considering that freedom of speech is almost non-existent here." Arthur said before passing by a bookstore. He slap his own head and smiled.

Most of the changes in this world was all thanks to books. Ideas, manifestos and political ideology could has been spread through books.

Arthur then entered the library and approached the old man that was wearing a single eye lens.

"Do you any book publication company?" Arthur asked.

"Well, technically, this library could publish books too... We also print about one third of the local newspapers." The old man said before taking out his newspaper to read.

"And uhm do you guys accept like printing for posters?" Arthur asked.

"Posters? What kind of posters?" The old man asked while raising an eyebrow.

"A protest poster." Arthur said.

The old man widened his eyes. "No we don't. Are you crazy! The government will kill us!" He shouted.

"Oh come on. They wont as long as they don't find that you are responsible for printing it." Arthur said.

"No thanks, too risky." The old man said while covering his face with the newspaper.

"What's your price to take that risk?" Arthur asked.

"What?" The old man asked while lowering his newspaper.

"There must be a price that you will take to take to take that risk." Arthur said.

The old man stood up and looked around to make sure that there wasn't anyone else eavesdropping.

"100 silver coins." The old man whispered.

Arthur took out one of his gold coins and put it on the table. "Done, and I just gave you more. Now, let's do this." He said.

The old man's jaw almost dropped to the floor when he saw the gold coin, he immediately took it and kept it in his pocket and looked around to make sure nobody saw it.

The old man nodded and looked at Arthur. "Tonight, at 11. You will have to come to this library from the back door. Meet me at office there. And make sure no one is following you." The old man whispered to Arthur before putting a newspaper on his face while pretending to be asleep.

Arthur nodded and exited the library before walking to one of the Inn's nearby and booked a room for the night.

As he saw the clock almost turning 10:55, he walked out from the inn and activated his stealth magic before walking towards the library.

He had to walk slowly or he might make too much of sound to attract the attentions of the guards that was still walking around the area.

As he arrived at the library he remembered that he had to go from the back and as he tried walking around the library, he realized that the library is big, and although it looked pretty majestic, it looks like it hadn't been maintained properly.

He then found the backdoor, and just like how the old man said, the door was unlocked and he could immediately enter it.

Arthur then closed the door slowly and disabled his stealth and and lit up a fire using his magic Fire skill on his finger to allow him to see inside the library.

He walked through the cabinets that had books and at the end of the book hall and eventually saw a room that seems to be a small office.

Arthur knocked the door slowly and just as he thought, the door opened and he saw the old man right behind it. "Come in." The old man whispered while letting Arthur in.

Arthur was too tall to enter the door and so he had to bend his neck and back to enter, the old man sat at his small chair with a lamp lighting up the whole room.

"Alright, so what's the plan?" Arthur asked.

"First, we need to decide on what you want to put on the poster." The old man said.

"I would like a poster showing my face and my manifestos, and that is lesser tax and the right to freedom of speech." Arthur said.

The old man wrote down what Arthur sad and nodded his head. "Okay, now all we have to do is design the poster and I should be able to start printing out the posters." The old man said.

"Great. What are we waiting for?" Arthur said with a big smile, he could wait to complete this gate and could do just about anything to clear it.

"The thing is... we don't have a designer... well, I do but I don't have anyone that I can trust with the task. They might betray us and snitch us to the government." The old man said.

Arthur closed his eyes for a bit and looked at the empty paper that was in front of him and thought about it. "I can design it myself." Arthur said before going to his system shop and bought a scroll.

It was a scroll that drew anything that you imagine. And since Arthur was born in the day and age where companies would do their very best to advertise.

And so Arthur knew how to make the best ad possible.

As he tore the scroll he imagined the poster that he wants to see on the paper.

Suddenly an image of him giving a thumbs up in his navy blue suit appeared on the paper. The words, "The Freedom of The People Will Be The Victory Of The Nation! Free Speech & Lower Taxes!" .

The old man couldn't believe what was hapening in front of his eyes and looked at Arthur like he was a magician.

"Are you a wizard?" The old man asked.

"No, but I can do a bit of magic." Arthur said while handing the paper to the old man.

"Quickly! Print this out! I want a million pieces of paper." Arthur said while handing the old man another gold coin.

The old man happily received the other gold coin and ran out of the room to the printing room.

Arthur followed him and as he entered the printing room he could see that the printer for the machine was big and inefficient. "Hey, how long will it take to print all of the papers?" Arthur asked.

"Oh, about a few months..." The old man replied.

"Oh crap... That's too long. Too long...", Arthur said before going into his system shop.

He then bought one of the printers that was worth $300 and bought a millions piece of paper. And started printing the paper. "Crap I could have just done this myself." Arthur said before more and kore posters were coming out of the machine every second.

It took hours but at 8 o clock in the morning, Arthur had 1 million posters in his hand.

But before he walked out of the building he thought the old man how to use the machine and gave him more papers to print more posters.

He then ran out and tried thinking if what will the best way to spread the posters.

Since he couldn't put it on walls since people could just tear it off easily he had to use other methods.

Suddenly, a leaf dropped from the tree that was near him. Arthur brushed it away but then as the leaf fell on the floor, he knew what to do.

It was time for tea, and everyone was outside, and enjoying their tea and biscuits.

Suddenly paper started dropping all over the city, and when they all looked up, they couldn't see anyone but birds.

But before they could even think about the matter they saw the contents of the paper.

A few minutes ago,

Ater Arthur saw the leaf falling on the floor, he jumped with all his might before reaching the sky and put on a glider while using his inventory to slowly take out the posters.

This worked like magic and since the posters was everywhere now, a lot of people took the paper and read it to be inspired by it.

But the citizens weren't the only ones that received the poster.

In the castle of the city,

"We have to report this to the king! It seems that someone is trying to start a rebellion!" One of the knights in the castle shouted while holding Arthur's poster.

"We know! You aren't the only one who has gotten the poster! Nearly everyone in the city has it!" The other knight shouted. "Once the King knows this, we don't know how angry he will be." He added.

The knights then approached the King's chamber and entered it. "My Lord! It seem that someone-" The knight shouted but got cut off by the King himself.

"I know!" The King shouted with a poster in his hands.

"All I wanted was to enjoy this tea that i just bought for 20 gold coins. But this guy ruined my afternoon!" The King shouted while tearing the poster.

The knights were quiet and didn't know what to do.

The King then looked at the knights with anger. "Do I need to tell you all something so obvious?? Find this man and bring his head to me!!!" He shouted while his saliva started pouring out of his mouth and veins started popping on his forehead.

His face has become so red that he could be mistaken for Elmo.

Meanwhile the captain of the guards and his knight friend was extremely worried at what they might have to face thanks to Arthur.
