Felix's sharp eyes lit up slightly. At first glance, he felt quite fond of this ring.

With that, Felix cleaned it with his shirt and then put it on.

A faint smile appeared on his dull handsome face when he saw how good the red color on the ring looked.

"Woi, poor thing, hurry!" A voice shouted from the top of the building, making Felix flinch and hurriedly resume his work.

When break time came, Felix walked over to a shady tree and wiped the sweat from his temples.

However, just as he was about to sit there, a man came rushing over. "Felix, your wife left!"

Felix immediately stood up straight and looked at the man who was his neighbor with some confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Your wife left. Carrying a big bag. Hurry up, you have to go home immediately." With that, the man grabbed Felix and pushed him to leave immediately.

Felix couldn't hold back any longer and sprinted towards home. His heart was racing as he heard his wife leave with a big bag.

Felix's friends who were enjoying their lunch looked at each other and one of them spoke with concern. "If you think about it, Felix is a pity too. It seems like he's the only one whose life is so bad. Already having nothing, now his wife is leaving."

"If you feel sorry for him, do him a favor," chimed in the other man.

"Oh sorry, I suddenly didn't recognize someone named Felix." As he said that, the man stood up and walked away quietly, making his friends laugh.

Felix's neighbors who hadn't left yet could only stare at them and silently pity Felix.

How hard life must be to be Felix. Even at work, he was an outcast and a joke.

After a while of silence, the man finally left.

Arriving home, Felix rudely opened the door and walked quickly into the house. "Arista! Arista!"

"Arista, where are you?" Felix kept shouting for Arista. But she was nowhere to be found.

The first place Felix went to was his room. He went straight to the closet and opened it. All the clothes that were neatly arranged on the left side of the closet were now gone.

For a moment, Felix just stared at the space in front of him. Then, when he came to his senses, he closed the cupboard roughly turned around, and walked quickly out of the house.

Arista might have been still around. Because the distance between when he found out about this and when she left was not too far. He even went home right away.

Felix ran towards the main road without caring about anything else.

There was only one main road here and to get there, there was no public transportation. So he could most likely still catch up with Arista.

Thinking about this, Felix accelerated his pace even more. He didn't realize that he wasn't running on the side of the road.

At that moment, a freight car was speeding from the right side of the intersection. Just as it turned the corner, Felix realized its presence and quickly moved out of the way.

But even so, he was still nudged by the car body and thrown to the side.

"Argh!" Felix winced in pain as his body hit the ground hard.

He tried to open his eyes, but they were blurry. The smell of blood made him feel dizzy and nauseous.

At that moment, Felix was on his stomach and his ring-wearing hand was under his injured forehead. The blood slowly dripped onto the ruby-red stone.

The driver of the car rushed down and shouted frantically. "Help! Help! There's been an accident! Please call an ambulance!"

Instantly everyone came, one by one, and formed a crowd. But none of them tried to get closer to check on Felix. They just talked to each other while pointing.

"Isn't that Felix? Why is he here?" asked one of the women.

A woman across the crowd suddenly replied in a gossipy tone. "I saw Arista, Felix's wife, carrying a big bag. It looks like she ran away, and Felix wants to find her. Besides, who could stand living in poverty with a man like this? If I were in Arista's shoes, I wouldn't be able to stand it either."

People started nodding in agreement. Especially the women. Suddenly, a dismissive gaze fell on the unconscious Felix.

"Felix, Felix, you know you're married. But you don't want to take responsibility. It's only natural that your wife ran away. You should be earning a lot of money, not slacking off with manual labor." A man looked sorry for Felix. He shook his head slowly and walked away.

The driver of the freight car looked incredulous as he witnessed this scene.

He stopped shouting for help and immediately took out his cell phone to call an ambulance.

It didn't take long for the ambulance to arrive.

Upon hearing the shrill sound of the ambulance siren, everyone slowly moved out of the way but didn't stop their mouths from gossiping.

"Sir, please save this man and give him the best treatment. I'll follow in my car," said the driver, pointing to his car which was parked carelessly.

The paramedics nodded and said, "We'll do our best."

After that, they quickly loaded Felix into an ambulance and took him to a nearby hospital.

Felix's thick eyebrows furrowed and a moment later his closed eyes moved slowly until they finally opened.

"Where is this?" Felix stared at the white roof of the room and then shifted his gaze around the room. Immediately, he realized that he was in a hospital. He breathed a sigh of relief. "I thought I wouldn't survive."

He hurried to get up and just then, there was a clanking sound, making Felix spontaneously clutch his head.

Felix was left in a daze. What did that mean?

He continued to stare at the transparent screen in front of him and read the words repeatedly.

"Mission? Points? What's going on? Am I hallucinating?" Felix moved his hand, trying to push away the transparent screen. However, instead of succeeding, he found his hand passing through the screen.

[Hello, Sir, can I help you?]

A soft voice that resembled a whisper echoed in Felix's mind, making the man frown in annoyance. "Who are you? Why do I only hear your voice but not your form? Wait, can you explain? I don't understand."

[Alright. Explanation begins!]

"Can I use those points to buy a vehicle?" Felix asked enthusiastically.

[That's right. Not only vehicles but even mansions and private jets can be acquired, Sir."]

"Really?" Felix instantly forgot about the existence of his head wound. He straightened up and stared at the transparent screen in front of him with his heart beating with happiness. "Then I accept it. I'll carry out the mission! I want to get rich and buy everything!"

"If it can be destroyed on its own, why didn't he just destroy it right then and there? Why keep it?" Felix muttered as he opened the document he was reading. It contained detailed descriptions of all the components used to build the shredder, along with their uses and weaknesses. Even the risks associated with each component were clearly stated, accompanied by warnings to exercise caution. On the last two pages, there were several ways to improve the machine and how to destroy it, most of which made Felix frown in confusion."Sir, what matters is not the person, but what that person has," said Secretary Jorell."Not everyone can destroy this machine.""If even its creator can't destroy it, how could I, who knows nothing about it?" Felix stared blankly at Secretary Jorell."Stop your nonsense and quickly find someone who can destroy it. I don't have much time."Secretary Jorell opened his mouth to argue, but Felix immediately interrupted him sharply. "Do you want me to fire you right

His head continued to nod like a broken doll."Felix, I finally found you."Suddenly, Van came running towards Felix. He patted him on the shoulder as he stood beside him, catching his breath. "I've been calling you from across the street, but you didn't hear me."As he spoke, he pointed in the direction he was referring to. It was quite a distance from where Felix was standing. And with the noise of vehicles passing by, it was understandable that Felix hadn't heard him."What's going on?"

Felix stared at Clarita for a moment, not looking surprised at all by her presence."Let's go home."Instead of answering, he walked past Clarita, causing her to rush after him."The CCTV in the house is on, right? Why didn't you check it? Has it been secured by the police?" Clarita asked in rapid succession.Felix remained silent.Clarita, annoyed at not getting an answer, stopped walking and pulled Felix's arm so he would look at her. "Felix, don't even think about hiding it from me. There can be no more secrets. You have to tell me everything."“You know, after this incident, I hate being lied to the most. I don’t want to be a fool for the umpteenth time,” Clarita said firmly.Felix looked at her for a long time, then raised his hand and touched the top of Clarita’s head. “Let’s talk about it on the way. • End of Session

The Chief Justice gave his approval, and four people—a burly man, two elderly people, and a pregnant woman—were brought into the courtroom.Everyone's gaze immediately turned to them with curiosity. Some people even began to make the most obvious guesses. This was especially true after they saw Lucien's expression, which changed from surprise to anger.Avery glanced at Lucien and was even more grateful in his heart that he was no longer on his side."Your Honor, these are the people Lucien wanted to get rid of," said Felix, causing a commotion. His sharp gaze was fixed on the burly man as he continued, "He is one of the people who works under Lucien. He knew more or less about the crimes he had committed. Due to his family's financial difficulties, he had participated several times. After the first hearing was over, Lucien ordered him to get rid of the people he was hiding. But because he refused, their families were to be completely eliminated so as not to influence today's hearing.”

  • Second Session

The courtroom felt heavier this time, and the visitor seats were filled with people. This was obvious because the previous hearing had attracted much attention, especially from the media. When the Chief Justice banged his gavel, opening the continuation of the trial, everyone spontaneously closed their mouths and watched in a tense atmosphere."Today's hearing will discuss two points: the poisoning case of Mr. Felix Pratama's family and the parties allegedly hidden by the defendant, Mr. Lucien. The court also notes Mr. Avery's accidental statement at the previous hearing. Plaintiff, please begin," said the Chief Justice firmly.Attorney Bo immediately stood up and opened his file. "Your Honor, the forensic laboratory test results prove that Caitlin, Mr. Felix Pratama's sister, and all the workers in his house were poisoned with thallium sulfate. This poison works slowly, causing nerve damage, and is consistent with the symptoms experienced by all the victims. This poison had been spre
