Chapter 27: “Argument of two men"

After knowing the whole thing that happened with Yelena two months ago, Victor burst into tears and got goosebumps from fear:

"It was amazing that your mind connected to me through the Elemental Card and showed me all the memories of what happened when your EC was still in Toan's possession until it was in Yelena's hands. That's why you said my telepathy is extremely useful and let me keep the Elemental Card because it is the only factor that connects our mind, only with it I can utilize the full potential of my telepathy."

"If you understood, then from now on don't hold the idea that that ability is a burden, but use it properly, because it has unlimited potential that you have not yet discovered. More importantly, how do you feel after knowing the whole truth?"

It was she who released the seal for us, letting EC fall into the hands of humans, causing so much trouble for ourselves and all of you humanity."

Then he threw the Elemental Card at Thedus and walked towards the car. Thedus shouted:

While walking, Victor suddenly got a headache and fell to his knees. Thedus approached and asked:

"Hey, are you okay?"

In headache, Victor recalls some memories of Lan as she was taken to a police headquarters and spent several days being arrested and interrogated by agents, the moment she lamented that she was unjustly, especially when he saw Michael's presence there and got into a heated argument with a certain agent about the thing concerned Yelena. By the time Victor witnessed the moment Michael was calling someone, telling him to come to the headquarters to help get Yelena out, Victor's mind was brought back to reality, and his headache was also gone.

"The headache is gone. What was the memory that flashed in my head just now? Thedus said earlier that Michael had found Yelena in the ancient tomb. So maybe he knows something. What I need to do now is…"

Without hesitating for another second, Victor got inside the car and started the car to drive away, leaving Thedus behind...

Holding the address of the house found on Michael's desk, Victor went fur-throttle there, thinking:

"Michael has all the answers to Yelena's arrest, I'm sure of that. Hopefully, he's still at home."

But as soon as he went to the front of Michael's house, Victor saw that the gate was locked from the outside. Victor got out of the car and approached the gate, looked closely inside, and looked at the whole campus where Michael lived. Behind the gate in front of him was a large three-story mansion, built in ancient architecture, located on St. Confidence. In front of the mansion, there is a small garden planted with some pretty flowers. Thinking that Michael was not at home, Victor was about to leave, but he noticed something unusual when he looked at the house number plate:

"This plate says the landlord's name is 'Lisa Dan Teller'. Is this not Linh's English name? After all, what is going on here? Is Michael living at Linh's house?"

While standing thinking, Victor's sixth sense sensed that two strangers were wearing black suits watching him in the far corner. Although he knew that he still did not look at them, but tried to pretend to look away, thinking:

"They look suspicious. They seem to be Arthur's people. Sure enough, he'd been suspicious of me ever since I was flustered after watching the video and touching him. The moment I shook his hand, I saw his memory and knew that he always wanted to take the position of director of Linh. This guy is not simple."

Victor was afraid that if he lingered here, something bad would happen to him, so he decided to return to the car. But just as he was walking, he suddenly heard the footsteps of the two stalkers getting louder and louder. When he turned around, he saw them standing right next to him. The guy with the sunglasses on the left asked:

"Are you an acquaintance of Miss Dan Teller?"

Victor guessed their identities, so he was not surprised, but still pretended to ask:

"No, I… Who are you two?"

"You just have to answer my question, don't ask anything."

"Yes, I am. To be honest, what do you want from me?"

"Good. The second question, is she here?" - The person on the right asked Victor.

Victor realized that Arthur was still searching for Linh, so he followed him because he thought he knew something. I think:

"It seems they don't know Lisa's location yet, so they're following me. What should I do now?"

Thinking for a moment, Victor tried to look roundabout:

"Hey, are you guys a gangster? You're too rude to even forbid me to ask."

"Please answer to the point, or else don't blame these guys for kicking your ass. You're the boss's number two target, you know?"

"Ah, so someone hired you to find and handle me? It's not surprising that I'm also his target besides Lisa, getting involved with her will be a thorn in his eyes anyway. Listen, don't try to force me to reveal her position, I'm not that easy to handle."

"If you say so, then we won't hold back. Anyway, the boss doesn't ask us to let you live if you don't cooperate. Let's handle him, George."

"Hi, George! Nice to meet you" - Victor tried to say politely before starting the fight-"Two against one? Doesn't seem very fair. Handle me if you can."

Then both guys in black suits rushed to attack Victor. Victor dodged their blows quite hard, unable to fight back, thinking:

"Motherfucker, it's hard to fight them back. Don't know how long I can hold like that. If only I had an Elemental Card now…"

Being in a disadvantageous position, Victor saw Michael rushing from behind them to push the guy wearing sunglasses to fall back. George saw that, and turned to attack Michael, but was sneaked at by Victor from behind, as a result, George was lying on the ground in pain.
