The Birthday Celebration

"Everyone step aside?!" shouted a big man.

"Who are you?" asked Taraja's grandfather because he looked uncomfortable when five foreign men barged into the midst of the invited guests.

"We New York City Police have received a report that Mr. Elvano committed a crime and here is the proof." Elvano accidentally dropped his glass of drink and then approached the police with a sharp gaze.

"What do you say?" Elvano asked, not accepting being accused of being a criminal.

"This paper has shown evidence that Mr. Elvano has embezzled, laundered company funds and Mr. Taraja's money," said the policeman named Kardo.

"What?! Don't be ridiculous you guys?" Elvano did not accept that his hands were about to be handcuffed. Taraja's grandfather massaged his temples suddenly throbbing at a moment like this something had to happen.

"Who reported this case?" asked Taraja's grandfather.

"Is Mr. Taraja not happy that we have uncovered your grandson's crimes?" Kardo asked back.

"I will give you a reckoning and accuse me of being a criminal!" shouted Elvano.

"Shut up Elvano?!" Taraja's grandfather snapped.

"Patience, grandfather, it's better if Elvano is taken to the police station, the invited guests look uncomfortable," said Alvrin, the second grandson of Taraja's grandfather.

"Grandfather, Elvano has never committed a crime, please don't send me to the police station," he said pleadingly.

The atmosphere was even more boisterous because Elvano's face was clearly visible behind the scenes together with his business partner signing the exact paper that the police had brought. Both Elvano's eyes opened wide to see the strong evidence.

"Grandpa is really disappointed with you Elvano. This time we can't help you, you can take him!" after saying that Taraja's grandfather turned around while holding the old body so that he could walk strong.

"Grandpa has to investigate this case again, someone framed me because the photo was a collaboration with the Hans group a few years ago," Elvano kept shouting so Grandpa would hear it.

"Wait!" Elvano smiled because there was hope for him.

"El knows that grandfather will never put his grandson in prison," he said, shaking off the hands of the two police officers roughly.

"Today, grandfather will revoke all the facilities that you have ever used, including your position as a candidate for CEO of Real Estate Alexa Corporation Bastian. Go or grandfather will imprison you, make your choice Elvano!" all were surprised to hear grandpa's decision including Elvano.

"Grandpa isn't kidding right?" asked Elvano flatly and his gaze even looked blank.

"Open everything you wear Elvano! You have tarnished Grandfather's trust all this time, now go and never meet us again." Taraja's grandfather immediately left the event along with Alvrins.

No one saw that Alvrin smiled faintly, everything that Elvano was wearing had been stripped off by the security guards and then left the building wearing only shorts and a tank top.

The birthday celebration that was supposed to be lively ended in sadness, moreover the company was shaken because of the case that ensnared Elvano.

The invited guests really hated Elvano, they didn't even hesitate to splash his body with the rest of the wine glass. They misjudged that their future leader turned out to be a criminal.

Elvano was not angry at all, he continued to leave the building with limp steps. Once again his eyeballs stared at the building that had raised his name and then left.

"Until whenever Elvano still loves Grandpa," he said while stroking his face.

The night was getting late, especially when the sky looked overcast, suddenly raindrops started to fall, wetting Elvano's entire body.

"Even the rain laughs at my crimes," he said bitterly as he walked down the highway aimlessly.

A luxury car almost ran into Elvano who was daydreaming on a quiet street but, as soon as possible to avoid it, he chose to drop his body to the side until scratches on the asphalt touched his skin.

"It hurts so bad," he whispered as he rubbed his elbow that had a red spot on it.

A fat man descends using an umbrella according to his body size with one hand on his waist. He looked sharply at Elvano who was still lying on the asphalt in pain.

"It turns out that big brother has reached the extraordinary border?" Elvano was surprised to see Alvrins smile wryly at his bad condition. In fact, the man didn't feel guilty at all for hurting him.

"Alvrins, can you help me?" asked Elvano, happy that his stepbrother arrived on time.

"Sorry sis, grandfather told me I couldn't help you because the crime you committed was really terrible," he said arrogantly.

"What? You don't want to just help me stand up? You have to know that I was slandered. This time, Grandpa, you have to hear my explanation," he said with emotion.

Alvrin let go of Elvano's hand from his white shirt and then pushed Elvano's body that was already cold. That handsome face even looks unattractive because it's dirty.

"From this moment on we are not relatives anymore, Alvrins is ashamed to have a brother like Elvano. One more thing, your face is even everywhere, sorry it seems that Grandpa can't stop all the madness that you created, Elvano," said Alvrins while mentioning Elvano's name with emphasis." Alvrins said while mentioning Elvano's name with emphasis.

"What?! No way?" Elvano looked around him so many faces adorned the city of New York.

"Hopefully soon brother can get to the truth." Alvrins got back into the car leaving Elvano lying on the pavement.

"I'm innocent Alvrins, how can you not listen to my explanation," he said quietly.

"We don't care anymore sis, tonight grandpa has broken up with you, it's very embarrassing," Alvrin squeaked and immediately started the car, but Elvano quickly spread his hands.

"I promised to return Alvrins but I have one request to please take care of Grandpa because he has a history of heart disease," Elvano pleaded.

"Get out of the way Elvano! Your face scratched my car!" Alvrin replied and then did not hesitate to step on the gas, almost hitting Elvano.

Elvano was bitter to hear his brother's words even though Alvrin was the hope to convince grandfather.

With no definite destination, Elvano entered a road that seemed increasingly deserted. His body was getting tired because he walked for miles to find a good person who would help him.

"Tonight you have to feel pain even more than this, Sis Elvano," said Alvrin, apparently secretly following Elvano from behind along with Emma.

"Hurry and crash Elvano dear! Let the world know a man like him must be taught a lesson!" ordered Emma Alvrin's mother.

"Patience, mom, Elvano's life has been ruined, why should we get our hands dirty when Grandfather already knows that his beloved grandson is now stranded on the streets," said Alvrin, laughing out loud.

"Let mom do it because there will never be a second chance Alvrins!" To Alvrin's surprise Emma took the wheel.

"What are you doing mommy?! The current situation isn't favorable since we're near a dense forest!" said Alvins.

"Elvano must disappear from the face of this earth and we will both be rich Alvrins, all the old man's shares will fall into your hands," added Emma.

"Alvrins can't mami down there is a cliff," replied Alvrins scared.

"Stupid child, the plan is already halfway done but you do it halfway. Get out of the way you mami will do it." Alvrin closed his eyes and let Emma have her way.
