What Wages

Carlina walked into an inn that looked small but suited her for winning minds. From where he was staying, it was clear that the Bastian Group building was so tall.

"Don't think strange thoughts, Carlina, forget everything," he said quietly, taking a breath.

"Miss, did the innkeeper bring a towel for you?" he called.

Carlina opened the door and received the white towel, not forgetting to say thank you.

"Tonight, can you bring me food? I'll pay in full later?" said Carlina.

"Yes Miss," he replied.

"Thank you, I'm very lucky that you want to help me," added Carlina.

"I only work here Miss, it's our job to help guests," he answered.

"Are you still in school?" Carlina asked curiously.

"Not anymore," he said sadly.

"Why?" Carlina asked again, she was very interested in this young woman who looked young.

"Both of my parents are in debt, Miss, so to pay it off, I have to do this job," he said without realizing it.

"Where do your parents live?" Carlina's question suddenly made the young woman
