Chapter 1 – Ling’s war (1)
Ghou Fe Ling walked across the dirty and old pathway of the street, the atmosphere was noisy due to the sound of the people who paraded the street, the multiple crying and screaming of children were unbearable and disgusting to his ears but what could he do, he was just a common man who also paraded the street and not any noble or a man of high standard. Though he was once the son of the number one adventurer in the town, Fe Mia, his mother and Fe Chan Ji, his father, unfortunately reality faced them with a violent kill by one of the forest monsters which split all parts of their body into pieces that it could not be presentable for confirmation, this were the explanations of the Emperor Ling Yo Fhen, he claimed all the silver and gold of the couples without lending any to him, the Emperor even informed him about the artefact his parents left for him but yet refused to present it.
Emperor Ling Yo Fhen the eight, first and only son of the former Emperor Ling Me, was considered to be a selfish and wicked Emperor due to his harsh behavior towards the citizens, though the citizens would never utter this to the public else they would sacrifice their head for the him, this was known because he displayed it once on an old man who uttered it to him while he was making his deceleration for the increase on the sale of candles from 5 copper coin to 7 bronze coin.
Though the world would had try to dethrone him but Emperor Ling Yo Fhen magic and loyal followers were too strong to come against even with the magic of the whole citizens combined.
Sigh! Sigh!
“What tiring day.”
Ghou Fe Ling heaved a sigh tiredly, he was walking past the special Mio restaurant, it was a restaurant that served variety of Chinese dish and other continental dishes, he stopped by the show glass of the restaurant which revealed an appetizing sushi plate that was placed amidst other food, he moved his eyes to the price-tag which wrote a bold 3 gold coin, 9 coppers.
Though it was very expensive for a normal sushi but he just felt his stomach growl to hunger at first sight of the food, it was reminding him of his hunger after going for a long walk to his friend’s house, Funji Dou Ling only to realize that he moved out, he scrolled his eyes around the glass and finally met a food that he could very well afford, just a common noodle with a price of just 3 bronze coin.
Ghou Fe Ling pushed open the door of the restaurant and screened around it, the place was filled with people who wore various form of fashionable or business costume, this was a special place and no one was expected to look thatched. Thankfully, Ghou Ling was wearing a presentable attire, a banana island T-shirt, a long black trouser and a pair of black and well polished sandals, his black long hair were well polished with thick gel.
He walked to the nearest vacant seat and sat on it, not long after a tall female approach the table, she was wearing a long butler gown and brown pairs of low heels while her hair was packed with a twin bun, she was apparently the sales girl who was going to take Ghou’s order.
“What would you like to have sir.” The girl’s soft and angelic voice asked, Ghou Fe Ling however was busy staring at the various variety of food listed in the catalogue he was holding, he could have chosen another food apart from the noodles already, but they were all expensive, he heaved out a sigh of frustration and dipped his hand into his pocket bringing three dirty bronze coin out of it
“Just a bowl of classy noodles.” Ghou Ling raised his head to the sales girl lending the three coin to her, upon seeing the girl’s face, Ghou Ling expression immediately dropped and became sweaty while the girl widened her eyes upon seeing Ghou Ling, her face instantly flushed red with embarrassment, she was Mia Lin the daughter of the late Xiou J Ling.
Ghou Ling always had a secret crush on her since he met her in mage school but was sacred that she would not feel the same which might lead to an absolute rejection.
“Okay sir.” She ran away from Ghou Ling with her face red, Ghou Ling on the other hand was shocked to find her there, he had eaten here for multiple times and never saw her, and moreover he always thought she was a luxury girl who would even own her personal restaurant, but he saw her taking an order which meant she was a sales girl, this was extremely shocking because she always hanged out with rich friends who owned small automobiles that cost hundreds of alexandrite, this is a currency that worth much higher that gold, just one alexandrite could be converted to a total of a hundred gold coin.
Not long after, a sales boy came to serve Ghou Ling his bowl of noodle and a cup of water, he was surprise seeing the change of server but he did not care now that his stomach jumped with happiness upon perceiving the noodle, he immediately picked his chop-sticks and began to eat.
“Hey, Ghou,” Ghou Fe Ling heard a deep familiar voice call, he turned his head toward the door of the restaurant to see two young men and a little girl rushing toward him.
They finally got to his desk section, luckily it was a four person seat arrangement so it was enough to fit them, Ghou Ling and the three people who immediately sat down
“Eating this classy bowl of noodles again.” One of the men said with a chuckle.
He was We Pengfei Dou, the senior brother of Funji Ling Dou, he had short brown hair, flat beards on his face and dark yellow eyes, he was a man in his early twenties and worked as a butler in an estate in other to have enough income for his two siblings and luckily his earning from the job was enough for him.
On the opposite chair beside him was Funji Ling Dou at the age of eighteen but his muscular appearance made him look more of 22, he had long silky black hair and blue narrow eyes, a smooth skin followed by a small nose and pink lips.
Now was Xia Dou, the youngest in the Dou’s family around the age of twelve, she sat on a chair opposite Ghou Ling smiling innocently with her sparking yellow eyes and small lips, her long black hair which fell freely on her waist.
“You guys moved out?” Ghou Fe Ling stopped sucking the noodle out of the bowl while staring at Funji who seemed to pay no attention towards him
“Yeah.” Funji answered with a one word, Ghou Ling had tried making a friendship with him but he was too cold and much of an introvert who would try to make himself stronger dawn by dawn by going to martial lessons and sports gym. Peng shook his head with total disappointment to his one word answer and turned to Ghou Ling
“We moved out yesterday due to some complicated reasons, sorry for the late information. And by the way, haven’t you caught the rumor.”
“What rumor, I’ve not heard of any serious news lately.”
“Hey, you’re a Ling, how could you not know of the Emperor’s death, the empire is going on a lock down tomorrow and all the Lings are expected to be in the Late Emperor’s Palace Hall first thing by dawn. Brother Funji is ready to participate in the Ling’s war and I think you should also be ready, anyways I’ve heard that you inherited your special fire ability from your father, I want you to kick my brother’s a*s.”
Xia Dou explained not giving anyone any chance for a break, her thin, smooth and angelic voice spoke innocently as she smiled with every word she said. Saying her last words Funji gave her a deadly stare since his main reason for all his life training was to win the Ling’s war.

Once again he heard the door-bell and immediately began to protest against who disturbed his sleep in this early dawn, just then it struck him that this was a new dawn, the day the Ling’s war was to take place. He narrowed his eyes in resentment and hurriedly got up from his bed, he rushed out of the bedroom into the parlor and immediately opened the door.“Eh, you’re still dressed in this.” Funji Ling Dou barged into the house while Xia followed him“Hurry and take a bath Ghou, you and my brother don’t have all Dawn.” Xia Dou’s tired and soft voice muttered, she rushed to a small sofa at the side of the room and sat on it, she made a soft sigh wiping t

Multiple fiery and long thin ropes instantly sprouted out from the ground and continuously began to whip the rocks into pieces“Do you even know who I am you stupid brat.” The girl shouted in anger seeing her rocks being shattered continuously“Well, I know you are not fit to be an empress.” Ghou Ling replied instantly standing gallantly on the ground letting the veins to do their work. Though, he was surprised to notice that he had no sigh of exhaustion from this skill since it was a mana eater but he didn’t have time to think about this.“Erg, you-” She shouted in frustration and swung her hands upward Crack! Ghou Ling looked below him to see that the ground was gradually breaking down, just like an earthquake but only in his standing position, he jumped away from the surface in the last second and the earth collapsed“Okay, I’ve played enough.” Ghou Ling muttered tightening his fist, the veins had already destroyed all the approac

A loud knock interrupted Ghou and the next thing was the door pushed open allowing Cheng, Ying and Silas to enter the room.“How do you guys always walk in together.” Ghou brows knitted upon seeing the three of them, this was two times that something similar to this happened and it looked all suspicious“What if the three of us are neighbors.” Cheng instantly replied with narrow eyes“Well, when last I checked you lived in the streets pickpocketing for a living.” Ghou retorted eyeing C

Silas pressed him palm into a ball while the bear movable joints bent into strange positions with loud cracking sound, he stood up from the ground with his hand still fixed in the air while making a direct eye contact with the bear. Silas instantly spread out his hand like he was calling for a hug while the bear widened it body with a loud roar.Silas brows fuzzed with narrow eyes, he raised his hand further into the air and with a sudden movement began to swing it from the left to right. Beside the door was three different colored tube which became a mystery to him as he stared in awe. He turned his gaze to the golden dust of the animated mage some seconds later and back to on of the tube which was golden in color. ‘I don’t believe it.” He immediately transformed into his real form and hurried to pick a handful of the golden dust and poured it into the golden tube. A glow suddenly illuminated from the golden tube, but the door remained stiff almost as if nothing different happened. ‘Impossible, this isn’t possible.’ Alistar cried inwardly and immediately began to pound on the doo
Chapter 38 – Taboo Techniques Of course!, Alistar looked unfazed after the sudden regeneration from the immortal, after all, he expected it since one wasn’t likely to be called an immortal for no reason. “Quit trying petty creature, you’ll meet the same fate as your other species.” Alistar didn’t bother to ponder at his words and immediately transformed into one of the most feared and legendary beasts, a dragon. The immortal looked stunned for a while but immediately regained his consciousness by bursting into a disgusting laughter, “You can’t intimidate me with that look, pirate, you’ll always remain the weakling you are.” “And who ever told you that pirate are weakling, I’m only being nice towards you while trying to give you a painless death. Don’t ever push me to the edge, and remember you’ll always be a mere human.” The immortal was immediately stunned after hearing the menacing voice in his head. Chapter 37 – Guest Fighters The mage gave an evil grin after seeing the transformation with seemed to fit his hidden aura. Within an instant, the mage raised his scepter while reciting a quote that remained unknown to Alistar who looked unfazed by his action. After standing for almost a minute without any interesting action, Alistar decided to give the first blow by flinging his silky muscle-build tail to the animated mage who remained calm with his dark eyes wide opened. When Alistar’s tail made contact with the man skin, he instantly felt a sharp pain that felt like he was being stung by millions of needles. Even at that, the mage also felt similar pain as the force sent from the tail would be enough to shatter his skeleton with one blow, but fortunately, he used the ‘Adamantine technique’ which had the capability to strengthen his skin. “Humm.” The animated mage finally gave a word with shivers running down his spine. Even with the Adamantine skin, he shivered to the force of t

So, have you ever tried leaving the realm?”“Just once, and it wasn’t successful at all.”The place remained silent for a while as they walked non-stop through the seemingly endless tunnel. When the mother Oxyl, Leah got too bored of the unbearable silence and decided to start a conversation.“There were monsters, should I say predators in here when I tried so I didn’t go this far.”“Monsters, predator?” Alistar immediately gave a halt and turned to Leah who had a weird smile, “Do you mean real monsters live here.”“When last I checked, yes. But they might all be dead or tired of living here by now.” Alistar turned around and continued his journey but now with a curious mindset. After walking for almost one mile, they decided to rest on the thick metallic steel that strengthene
Chapter 35 – Way Of The Ju-Jung Realm Alistar could not help but feel irritated after hearing the words from the mother Oxyl. He felt like running away for his life but controlled his urge since he actually didn’t know anything severe about the Ju-Jung realm.“Don’t worry, I and my kids are already stuffed with other creatures. And by the way, we have a home full of free food.”Alistar heaved a loud sigh of relief after hearing the statement, but even at that, he felt pity for the species. Some minutes later the mother Oxyl continued, “Now about the bullet-python. You should be aware that they only eat rodents and other small creatures… in the past. But due to the realm condition, they will risk attacking even a dragon..”“Have they gone nuts?” Alistar interrupted the mother Oxyl's speech that sent a feeling of goosebumps especially when the explanation made it clear that the realm was a suicide case.“Some of them... And why they have an advantage for creatures like us
Chapter 34 – One Mommy Oxyl Ghou stood motionless in front of his door staring at the talisman that suddenly flew to his palm. He turned his gaze once again to the position of the carriage but unfortunately, it was long gone. “What is this? Since when was there a Winterfoe kingdom?” “I’m definitely going to try it out.” “Thank the heavens for this kingdom, the empire is really becoming a risky place. Winterfoe kingdom here I come.” These were the words of the people around the scene with most of them having a bright face and only few of them making any reasonable comments. ‘I must inform Kiara about this nuisance, how can a so-called king lower himself to the stage of going into kingdoms and empires looking for citizens!’ Ghou felt disgusted with the ill action that was considered inappropriate by many. With that in mind, he flew into the room to take a quick bath and other things necessary before going to the Palace. *** Thud! Thud! Alistar continuously bangs on the door
Chapter 33 – Wei Bei Bei Days quickly turned into weeks and Alistar found himself stranded in the temple that didn’t make the slightest movement.“No… No, somebody help.” Alistar screamed at the door and immediately transformed into a huge creature before pounding on the door that easily absorbed all his movements, not even bulging any parts of it. After transforming into a dozen of heavy-weighted creatures, Alistar finally fell to the cold floor of the temple in an exhausted manner.‘Such bad luck… Somebody, please come.” After his words, he immediately closed his eyes and fell asleep, after all, he had to regain his lost Mana. Meanwhile, in the real world, Ghou stood outside the wall of the empire handling the Grimm Reaper long-sword casually in his palm, almost like it was a normal weapon.1 minute….5 minutes….12 minutes….20 minutes... Finally, Ghou could see two magical beasts approaching him from the forest. Although i
Chapter 32 – The Ju-Jung Realm‘Humm! So you’re Jiang Lang eh.’ Alistar who had been watching Senior Jiang Lang from the sky thought with a happy heart especially since he’d suddenly gained a vital information, now leaving only the name of the realm to banter with his curiosity.Though he was more than aware of the place being a realm, but there were more than a hundred realm around the globe that were only differentiated with their name. So therefore, without much options, Alistar decided to follow Senior Jiang Lang to his unknown destination while remaining in a low key. After what seemed to be over two hours, Senior Jiang Lang stood before the fancy looking temple that emitted a suffocating aura that could only be ignored by a King level individual. Some seconds later, a bright formation of different symbols appeared underneath his feet followed by a loud trembling sound that shortly followed after the temple’s camouflaged door flung open within an instance.
Chapter 31 – Grimm Reaper Long Sword Ghou grabbed the long-sword some minutes later and immediately began to fantasize on the mighty weight of the weapon. “Is it supposed to weight like this.” Ghou complained some minutes later when the weight eventually surpassed him even to the extent of pulling him towards the ground. Elbert nodded his head in disgust before saying any word, “Swing the sword while you can.” With those words, Ghou summoned all his strength, lifting the sword off the ground and immediately swinging recklessly in the air. After swinging the sword continuously for almost a whole minute, Ghou felt the weight reduce into that’s of a feather. A smile immediately appeared on his face with the idea of him able to handle the sword effortlessly, but unfortunately he couldn’t feel anything more. “I learnt it?” A frown replaced the bright smile on his face some seconds later as he stared in a fit of rage at the sword, “There’s suppose to be a glow, r
