Chapter 14
Entering the World of Encrest Part II: The Rainbow ForestCarter's POV:"Noyagn nayid oyak ibat!"
(Get out of here, now!)
A creature shouted from far away. It sounded masculine and a bit deep.
He was wearing a long black robe. A hood covered his head and I couldn't see much of his face hidden behind.
At first, I thought it was Lincoln because I noticed the long robe he had on, but it turned out to be a different person.
I did not understand what he was declaring, but it drew the attention of the many that caused the people to flee headlong in panic.
A sudden unreasoning terror permeated the place. All began to leave from their respective places.
The hooded man was running at a brisk pace toward my direction while he was being chased by someone.
I was dumbfounded when he disappeared from my sight and reappeared at the nearest distance possible.
He immediately caught me, and we fell to the
Chapter 15Setbacks DrawThird POV: Ricky and Sandra "How come you live under here?" asked Sandra. "If I were to answer your question, I am an outcast," Amarra responded. She then opened the door and entered her home and started packing. "You see that place over there? That is the Ministry of Encrest. I always wanted to join the Academy..." She pointed her finger out the window to indicate where she was saying. "But anyway, too bad we ain't staying here for long. I forgot something to bring with me," added Amarra while forcefully pushing some of the items in her bag and satchel to fit in. "We just got here, why are we leaving too soon?" asked Ricky. "I'm setting out on an adventure," Amarra replied. "That sounds fun! I love adventures, too! Can we come?!" Ricky gasped in excitement. His eyes were brimming with enthusiasm after hearing the word 'adventure'. "I am sorry, but I will take you back to where you
Chapter 16The Downhearted FollyThird POV: Ricky and Sandra "Oh no..." Amarra gasped. She then hurriedly ran to a burnt house and went inside. Amarra's pace of running drew Ricky and Sandra's attention, and they changed their focus on her. The inside of the house was in disorder. The thrown pieces of paper, dust layers and disorganized carpets were scattered on the floor. Even the furniture, shelves and ornaments were in disarray. An old man was seen reclining on the floor. He looked thin and pale with his body covered in red ribbons running along the inside of his thighs. There were scratches and wounds everywhere on his bloodsoaked body. He was coughing out blood and breathing hard. Amarra rapidly approached the old man and knelt down at his side. She appeared devastated and saddened by an old man's appearance. Her spirit was depressed. Tears rushed down her face and a drop fell from her chin onto the old ma
Chapter 17The Magical of AmuletCarter's POV: I felt like a child in a long dream, unable to wake up, trapped in the reality you have created by your own imagination. All was so detailed in fashion and everything in it seemed so real! At first, I was terrified of what could happen here, especially if I had to immerse myself in the wicked barbarians with their dangerous magic. Nevertheless, all the fear that I kept in myself immediately disappeared after seeing the glamour of this colorful world. In those few moments, I felt a strange feeling of tranquility, a serene comfort with a strange dab of magic over my heart that I did not quite seem to understand. It was indescribably inexpressible. No existing word or phrase could describe what I was feeling, but it was a very unusual feeling. I mean, aside from the enchanted garden, I felt the same extreme level as Raven and I visited this place. "Where are we?" I asked
Chapter 18The Gems of EncrestCarter's POV: I approached him to see what he was reading and what was in his book. A sudden flash of light came out from the book. All I saw were wrinkled letters, I couldn't read and understand what was written in the book. But one picture that was drawn helped me understand what he was reading. "All right, but what are you reading?" "According to the book-" he showed me a word I couldn't read then it slowly vanished. "Hmmm, strange. My book couldn't trace its origin. Nothing comes out. I wonder..." "Why?" I curiously asked. "This book has the ability to retrace the history of all things. Simply place the item you want on top, then the rest is told." "Oh, Wow! Really?? What a cool thing! It works just like a scanner of some sort." My eyes widened a little at the new information I had learned.<
Chapter 19The Prickly QueenThird (Main) POV: Raven was struck by a sudden mental disturbance. Raven and Carter hurriedly came close to the broken window, and from where they were standing, they saw an aggressive lady with great vehemence struggling to capture an orange toad in front of the yard. Raven went ballistic after he saw the window. His skin turned auburn. His face was like a suppressed cherry bomb shivering from the explosion. He cast and conjured an energetical white rope and strangled the lady with fury and jumped out from the window. The lady was wearing a cerulean stola - and minty-dagged shirt like robe and had an armlet worn on her undergarment. A long woolen dress covers her whole lower limbs. Her cheeks were blushing like pink tulips. Her plume of golden stardust hair was braided into a bandeau and her eyes were forest green. "You broke my window!" Raven got enraged and spoke fiercely, tightening the energetic
Chapter 20:The Search for Perry Frost FlowerThird (Main) POV: They were walking in the midst of the forest and they were caught by dusk. Two of the suns were setting and the pink and orange landscape of the sunset were engulfed by the mounting darkness. Raven brought and handed Carter and Krystelle a few extra torches and lit them with his bare hands. It was their only source of light, and only a small portion of light from the moon was passing through the foliage, which was barely enough for them to see through the dim forest. "Uhm, where exactly are we going?" I curiously asked Carter. We're going the opposite way. South is this way, Duh!" stated Krystelle with a boastful tone and manner. "Trust me. I know where I'm going," Raven said. They traveled further into the depths of the dark with only their small torches lit until they found a strange bush and then they stopped walking. Raven pushed the broad shrub s
Chapter 21The Houppelande LadyThird (Main) POV: Raven climbed to the edge of the cliff while the vines evoked by Krystelle lifted her effortlessly. Carter was still within reach of the monster and resisted to emerge from the beast's hands, but it was very tight. He was stuck, as if he had been poured with dried cement on its whole body. The beast felt their approach and immediately drilled a hole in the walls, taking Carter with him inside. "Shoot, it got away," said Raven with a faint glimmer of disappointment. They kept following wherever the hole was leading them. At the end of it, there was a light and Krystelle was certain that the beast brought them to the place where Perry Frost flower might be found. There was a large Perry Frost Pine firmly standing in the centre, but its Perry Winkle-coloured leaves and some of its remaining flowers were starting to dry and wither. "Oh no..." Krystelle gasped. But as Krystelle turned
Chapter 22A Flower into a Ticket PassThird (Main) POV: "Can we trust you, Krystelle?" asked Carter. "You can count on me!" Krystelle replied. "Krystelle..." Raven shrunk his eyes, crossed his arms, and tapped his feet on the grassy ground, standing next to both. It was already daylight and two of the suns were shining brightly. Krystelle and Carter were sitting on a tree stump and were having a conversation. "I swear. No one will ever know about this." Krystelle promised. "Carter came from Azerberk. His siblings are lost and he need to find him here." Raven lied. "No Ardorian has ever travelled to Euryth! Since each kingdoms has its own borders?! How come you and your siblings got into Euryth?!" Krystelle thought for a second. "It's kind of hard to explain but now it's your turn to explain. What are we going to do with this flower?" asked Carter while examining the Perry Frost flower. Its ivory frost pet
