He was already frustrated that Laimer was in trouble and now Robert was going to suit in such a lame way.

Robert moved his feet in preparation to walk over but before he could stand up, he noticed something.

Laimer was walking over to them slowly, his footsteps were a cautious dread as his eyes were caught up in a tense fear.

“He’s coming!” Droppel alerted, using his hand to block Robert from making the move. “He is coming over here, relax. There is no need to go there. It seems they have released him.”

Laimer’s mind was a pressure cooker of fearful thoughts. He wondered how people had suddenly forgotten that he was supposed to play a chess competition.
