CHAPTER 129

The statement that the agent made sent shivers down their spine in fear as they sensed that the men didn't even have any chill in them at all.

Their faces had been a hard rock and a deadly stance of authority since they were forced into the vehicle. The dark glasses they were putting on were as menacing as a deadly mask.

Laimer wasn't going to give up though. The earlier call that he tried didn’t go through because he didn't receive a response. He was still going to go ahead with the plan irrespective of the warning that the agents gave.

His thumb was a swift press again as he dialed Alan’s number. He was sure that it was ringing and his heart was beating in anticipation each moment as he waited for Alan to pick up his phone.

The seconds went but there was still no response. He flinched his eyebrows in disappointment as he thought they he was going to have some headway.

In any case, he would try again after a few minutes, he thought. He wasn't just going to not do anything.
