With a fierce determination, Brody summoned the last ounce of strength inside of him as he shoved the firewood once again.Time was ticking too fast for him and his life was hanging in the balance. Brody’s heart sank and every second felt like eternity. There was no option for him but to remain there and wait for Desmond to catch him. Desmond pounded his fist on the door, his face a fierce mask of determination and his voice a low and frustrated growl.His face was a twisted and furious portrait of desperation as he sought some relief from the situation he was experiencing.Meanwhile, Brody was hiding behind a firewood space just outside Desmond’s house. The firewood were very plenty so it was easy for Brody to attach himself very cleanly and hide there.Brody knew that it was time to hide because he wasn't really asleep when Desmond went outside to take the call. He was still very much anxious and he heard that something was going on outside.They drew closer to the curtain because he was already having doubts about trusting Desmond. The words he heard from Desmond and especially when he was mentioning his name repeatedly suggested to Brody that someone had asked for him.He didn’t wait to get more information and be sure of what exactly he was hearing before he took to his feet and made his way to the wooden wind

“You can hear me properly, Desmond. Can't you?” Mr. Lawrence spoke. “I said that there is a young boy you took with you. My men were able to get this information through the use of their binoculars. This young boy happens to be someone dear to me.”Desmond’s heart sank and a sudden chaos formed in his whole body. He wondered if he had done bad by helping the young boy.No wonder the boy was hiding something from him? What exactly had the boy been hiding from him? Meanwhile, Desmond sat in the stern, his eyes gleaming at the moonlight as he glided through the rivers with grace.“Come on, Brody apply a little more strength, can you?” Desmond spoke kindly.“Just take it smooth and easy and we will get to our destination. It’s not as far as it looks, trust me.”The water lapped against the sides of the boat as Brody rowed with all of his strength, his arms arching with the strength of his focus as he tried to stay on the task at hand.The boat cut through the water and moved smoothly, the wind whipping above them as they travelled down the river.Meanwhile, Brody was feeling sleepy all through the 25-minute journey until they finally got to the edge of the shore on the other side.Desmond and Brody got away from the boat, their bodies wet and slippery as they got onto the dry land.“You might want to use this to clean yourself,” Desmond spoke, offering Brody a napkin which he used to clean off the water on his body.“Clean off everything, okay?”“
