CHAPTER 144

Tierra couldn't help but blame herself in her mind. She hesitated, she fvcking hesitated, she thought to herself. If she had been intense and hard the way that Quorra did her assault, perhaps it would have been the two men on the ground writhing in pain.

They would have had a much better chance of escaping and even freeing everyone else from the bondage of the terrible criminals, Tierra thought. She was such a failure. She felt like she deserved to die. After all, she had everything in her hands but threw it away. If only they could spare Quorra at least, she didn't deserve to die also for her mistakes.

Zonam made a strained effort to rise as his body shook with effort. He tried to push himself up even though his muscles were weak but he made sure that he was going to struggle until he regained his footing.

His breath was coming in ragged gasps as his colleague, Uqaman waited patiently for him until he was able to regain his footing.
