Quorra and Tierra shifted uncomfortably, their brow creasing with weariness.

Tierra responded. “We can’t provide the answers to your questions. We are only happy to be alive. I admit that you might be onto something there but what does that matter when we are just happy to be alive? If you have a theory somewhere, you can tell us and maybe you will be right but you see, two days ago we never imagined that we would be here mourning a death that is not ours.”

Quorra’s expression turned frosty, her unease evident in her stiff posture. “Exactly! We shouldn't be the ones to be asked these questions. Maybe the employees outside were the ones who informed Alan that we were stuck inside. I don't know. Whatever happened that made Alan so sure that we were inside the fire and that we needed saving isn't our concern.”

“But perhaps you should be a little curious. Maybe you should pay more attention to these things,” Della spoke, her words carrying a weight of stubbornness and disappointment.
