Bastos’ plea fell on deaf ears as the mayor brought the nylon much loser.

“Just let it go, man. Let it go. Don’t fight it, death isn't such a bad adventure after all,” Mayor Carney spoke.

Bastos’ eyes bulged with terror as he tried to scream but this time, Mayor Carney had pressed the nylon onto his face to his utmost terror.

Bastos’ voice emerged as a strangled wheeze as he fought for air, his hands clawing at the nylon.

He was determined to put up a fight. He wasn't going to die just like that, he had to fight for his life.

He stretched his legs as if to kick the mayor but it felt as if his energy kept reducing each time he tried to apply pressure. His hands tried so hard to remove the nylon that had encased his head as his vision began to blur.
