But Alan saw the man stretching something that looked like a card or a photograph to the attendant and he decided that he was going to step back for a while and see how everything played out.

The man slid a photograph across the counter, his hands moving with a deliberate, calculating stealth as he positioned it for the attendant to see.

“Take a good look at this, you recognize what it is?”

The attendant’s eyes widened as he stared down at the incriminating image. It was evidence of fraud at his former workplace.
