“It’s this strange woman you brought as your wife. Can you imagine that she insulted us and told us to get out - who does she think she is to tell us that?” one of the hookers said.

Rose’s face flushed with embarrassment the moment she saw Mr. Lawrence walk over to where they were. Her breath was held in a silent hope for redemption because she didn't want Mr. Lawrence to see her in such a demeaning situation.

She had always tried to avoid him at any cost but fighting with one of his whores meant that she was letting herself loose.

Mr. Lawrence turned his gaze toward Rose to know if she had any words of defense to what the hooker had said but her lips were set in a thin line as she gave no words in her defense. She wished it didn't come to the situation it now was.

“She even had the guts to slap us,” the other hooker said, adding more fuel to the fire when she noticed that Rose wasn't going to defend herself.
