CHAPTER 56

One of Alan’s agents, Shlupp, who was with him in the vehicle noticed that Alan’s face was a desperate facade of desperation and pleading with an intensity of impatience.

“Boss, what’s going on? You are going at a very high speed and you look upset.”

Shlupp knew that rescuing Rose meant a lot to Alan. If not, he probably wouldn't have insisted that he drove himself when he didn't have to.

But there was something about the level of desperation that he was exuding that seemed a little strange to Shlupp.

Alan shrugged with a deadly wave of indifference, his expression dismissive with an air of apathy.

He picked up his phone and this time he dialed Rose’s number. Perhaps the reason for the lack of response was because she was not online. The phone rang and as the seconds went by, it felt like Alan’s heart was breaking. The phone rang till its end and there was still no response at the other end of the phone.

Even if Mr. Lawrence had already captured her, he would have picked up the phone
