CHAPTER 69

The stairs creaked with a silent groan of evasion and his footsteps frenzied with a thudded pound of escape as Mr. Lawrence’s men followed Alan as he retracted down the stair unto the preceding floor.

The gunshots exploded around Alan as shower glasses and windows were shattered from the ricochet of the bullets. Smoke destructively filled the air.

Alan found a corner on the second floor to hide himself. The bullets were still fired in his direction.

The bullets shrieked with a deafening whistle of violence, piercing with a deafening crack of violence.

Alan could feel that one of Mr. Lawrence’s

men was standing just on the floor above him and he had a good view to get a shot at him.

The guard kept shooting with conviction that he could kill Alan but Alan waited for the right moment.

Pow! Pow!

With two sharp bullets that struck the assassin, he fell to the ground in a heap.

But Alan had one bullet left in his riffle which was surely not going to be enough. He knew that he had to escape
