CHAPTER 96

Officer Andreas broke the silence as he held a stack of files in his hands even though he hadn’t read it once since he arrived in the room for two minutes. It didn’t seem like he was going to use the files anyway.

“Well, Mr. Greyson, I am sure you know why you were arrested.”

“I have no idea. I have been hoping that you were going to explain it to me but I have received no explanation for the minutes that I have been here,” Alan retorted, his voice sharp with displeasure.

Officer Vincent scoffed, his face contorted with arrogance. “Well, we have only started and you are talking as if we have kept you here for a long time.”

Alan didn’t understand what the officer meant by them only starting with the interrogation. Was it supposed to be something that would take a whole day?
