23. Davis Outing

"Hello Davis, how are your parents?" Victorial asked immediately; she noticed the grave silence coming from Isabella, like she was deaf to what Davis said to her.

"They are fine, ma’am. They wanted to arrange a couple's party between Isabella and me, but I refused. I mean, this is my mess, and I should only get to fix it." Davis smirked simply like a mischievous child who had just pulled off a clever prank, his eyes sparkling with playful delight as he peered at Isabella, who was definitely not looking at his face.
