Victoria shook her head, dismissing her brother's words. "Don't worry, he's just speaking nonsense," she reassured Ethan.

Matthew sneered, his tone laced with bitterness. "Nonsense, indeed. Anytime I speak the truth, you see it as nonsense," he retorted.

Closing the distance between himself and Ethan, Matthew stared at him with anger in his eyes.

"Tell me, working for that company, what benefit have you gained? You work for them to earn more money, but have you received anything in return?"

Confused by Matthew's hostility, Ethan replied, "What do you mean by 'in return'? Aren't the employees being paid?"

Matthew laughed disdainfully. "Even as a driver, you have a car to relax in, even if it's not yours. But what about her?" He pointed directly at Victoria. "She's been the manager of that famous company for so long, yet she doesn't own her own house or have her own car. Then, what's the use?"

The weight of Matthew's words hung in the air.
