Ethan looked at Sophia, her peaceful face resembling a sleeping beauty. He carefully took his phone out and gently positioned it to capture a photo of them together, a small moment frozen in time.

"I'll be here till you wake up, babe," he whispered softly, as if his words could reach her even in her unconscious state. He pulled up a chair and settled down beside the bed, wanting to stay close and be there when she opened her eyes.

As he sat down, Ethan remembered that he needed to address some important matters. He dialed Victoria's number. The phone rang, and as he waited for a response, he wondered if she might be asleep, considering the late hour. There was no response after several ringing.
