Chapter 31: Janitor

In the washroom, the waiter continued to apologize to Ethan, who was trying his best to remain calm.

"Sir, you know I didn't see the floor well and tripped; please don't take it to heart." He said

"It's alright; accidents happen," Ethan said, giving the waiter a reassuring pat on the back.

The waiter nodded, relieved. "Thank you, sir and please, I beg of you, don't report me to the manager. I could lose my job."

Ethan sighed. "I won't report you." "Just be more careful next time, okay?"

The waiter nodded and left to fetch some clothes for Ethan. A few minutes later, he returned, holding a set of janitor's clothes.

"I'm really sorry, sir." "These are the only clothes available at the moment."

Ethan's heart sank as he looked at the clothes. How could he wear the clothes of a janitor to his own party? What were others going to think of him? Even though he was unwilling, he had no choice but to wear them.
