HARD WORKERS

Once he walked through the front door and went outside, Alexander heard a knock on the gate.

“I’m co—“ Alexander said but was cut off.

From the other side of the gate, he heard. “Hey! Don’t knock on the gate, you idiot! There’s a button right there on the fence you’re supposed to press to use the inside bell. Press it and the person inside would hear and know that there are people outside wanting to see them”

The person at the gate placed his hand behind his head and chuckled awkwardly.

“Sorry boss. It’s my first time on the job so I was kind of nervous. Anyway, where did you say the button was again— got it! Lemme press it—“ he said but was interrupted when he heard the gate getting unlocked.

On the other side, Alexander opened the personnel side of the gate and the first thing he saw was a young fellow who was wearing a company uniform with his finger hovering over the bell button.

“Don’t worry. I heard you guys pull up and honk your horn when you parked” Alexander said.
