Chapter 28: Fateful Encounter

“What the heck was that?!”

I shouted in horror. I put my hand on the girl resting behind my back tightly. My flight reaction was triggered making my running speed twice perhaps thrice than my usual running speed.

That worm is an entirely different creature than the demon worm I usually roam outside. This worm is far larger and longer.

“Can’t you do anything to burn that thing?”

“I’m not running if that demon is weaker than myself… That creature was a sandworm. A creature that has a nearly indestructible body. The only way to kill it was to destroy the tiny heart hiding inside its huge body.”

“Considering how big the worm was… That is almost impossible.”

“That’s why I’m running. They only attack people that trespassed on their territory. Curse those knights for putting us here. I bet they done this intentionally.”
