Ever since I was little, I thought everyone was insane.

Everyone around me is working. Working as if they don’t think at all. Everyone is moving by someone’s order. Moving as if there was an invisible chain wrapped around their necks.

Is everyone insane to throw their freedom away? Or is it just me who thinks like this? I questioned every day. My mother and father were both normal farmers until one day our land was destroyed by a demon kind. Having no place to go, the inquisition took us and made my parents workers. Having never been paid money, we can live in the city as long as we work. Given daily with stale tasteless bread. We are forced to mine fuel coal every single day.

How are they allowing this to happen? My parents and everyone. I was baffled by that realization.

As someone who was born from the outside. I do have dreams. I want to go out and see the world for myself.
