42: The Forgotten File!

The morning sun cast a warm glow on the city as Miranda stood outside the tall building that housed Jackson's company. She clutched her purse tightly, her heart pounding with nerves and determination.

Today was the day I met my ex-husband, Jackson, after all the pain I had gone through in the past.

In his stylish office, Jackson sat at a mahogany desk, his face a mask of concentration.

The phone rang and he answered briefly.

“Call me.”

“Boss, we searched the penthouse from top to bottom. “There is no trace of the file.”

His first team reported with disappointment in their voices. Jackson called.

He leaned back in his chair and a slight smile appeared on his lips.

“They are very nice people.” He said coldly. “Keep looking. You have to be there."

Little did he know that his trusted subordinates, Kenneth and Owen, had plans of their own.
