CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY EIGHT

[ A WORLD FREE OF GAMES ]

I heard Akuma's laughter ringing through the dim arena while I struggled to gather my thoughts. I glanced around and all I saw was complete darkness. The icy and burdensome chains around me served as a strong indication of the Cloak Master's complete control. I resisted them, but they remained immovable. The flickering light illuminated eerie shadows on the walls around me.

The Cloak Master's voice echoed in the darkness as he greeted the individual returning. "Seems like you're in a bit of a pickle."

"Stop being dramatics," I snapped, attempting to hide my fear with boldness. "What is it that you desire from me?"

The Cloak Master emerged from the darkness, his aura just as intimidating. His cloak moved around him as if alive, and his eyes shone with a menacing gleam. "Fred, you have the potential." However, you do not possess the determination necessary to harness genuine power.
