I entered the gym tentatively, with the sound of my footsteps blending with the eerie silence in the air. The previously neat room was now disorganized, with exercise mats and weights scattered everywhere as if a storm had passed through. I quickly became alert due to my instincts. Behind me, Rosetta, Zack, and the rest of our group trailed, their eyes wide with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. I wondered who was responsible for the deed.
