I was dazed to have seen everywhere in shambles. I could see Marcus fuming with anger. I almost walked out of the cab without paying the old man. " Hey, kid. You haven't paid me yet!" the man shouted at me. I rushed back to place my phone on the automated machine that immediately deducted my money. I rushed towards Marcus and he was surprised to see my face all swollen. " What happened!" He asked feeling concerned. " I had to walk up to Damain and let him know he was not going to get away with what he had done. I was roughened up and beating blue black." I said feeling the impact of the beating all over again " Did you say, Damian did this to you?" Marcus asked raising an eyebrow. " Yes, wait." I said slowly taking a pause. " Did he do this?" I said looking around the ruins. " I haven't gathered the fact but then my computers are severely damaged and also she was taking even before I got to her house. The word struck me like blow to the gut. She was the only hope I had at getting revenge for Georgia. I almost felt like crying. " Wait? Who was taken?" I asked faking it. " I ring you severally but you were not picking up. We could have been there to protect her. The only chance at getting Damian is if we are able to rescue her in time." Marcus said looking at me. The fear of being dragged by her or her family made my heart beat faster trying to know where I stand in all of this. I walked up to Marcus who was talking to one of the police officers. I looked around once more and my breath etched in my throat. I might have been rash in thinking I can pay the bills for the damage of the gym but I wanted to try. This only happened because of me. " I can't just turn a blind eye. All of this is my fault." I said again almost feeling down. "So do you think you have saved enough to pay for all of this? I know how hard it is for you to make a cent. I would prefer you use the money to take care of Georgia when she is out of the hospital. As a matter of fact ain't you suppose to be by her side?" My let out a sigh. " I wil be on my way after I have taken care of this. I am sure the police must want to see me. I can tell them who might have done this." Marcus laughed " Is something funny?" I asked feeling awkward. " Whoever must have done this is a freind of the police. They are not asking much questions. They just came by to mark attendance. You see, kiddo." Marcus placed a hand on my shoulder. " Men like Damain and people in the higher ups feels like they are invisible. They believe they can do anything they want and get away with it. But they have messed with the wrong person. I am going to safe my worker and get the person behind this." Marcus looked at me I looked at him and I could see the zeal in him. I let out a weak encouraging smile. I knew it was a matter of how long. I have seen people like Damian. I know they don't give up and they never will. They needed to be thought a lesson and I was going to make sure of it one-way or the other. " Please send me your details. I am going to be transferring two hundred thousand dollars into your accounts and please don't say no." I said sprinting down the street immediately I was done with my statement.
