DULLY'S POV

As the car drove me through the buzzling street of New Orleans. I felt free to roam the street. I had always walked in the shadow of Damian for too long.

As I drove past the gym house, I smirked seeing that it can never rise to the way it was before. I had mad a compleye mess trying to find the video that could convict me of murderer.

I took out my phone and called the officer in charge of the case. " Any update?" I asked in a husky voice.

"None, Mr Dully." the voice behind the call replied immediately.

The officer for some weird reason was always able to discern my voice from Damain's. Maybe before mine was croaky since I smoke alot.

" How many minutes to reach Austin University?" I asked the driver as he horn his way through the traffic jam. " Few more minutes." He replied looking back.

I had taken care of my hair to suite Damain's style just to cover the act. It was his definition of me blending in. I could still remember the way he scolded me telling what I need

But I needed to get things done. I also don't want to go back to my old life. I needed to make Damain realise I needed to start planning my life and I had to start from somewhere. I heard a voice right behind me and I turned. " Don't tell me you have been hiding." the voice said and I immediately recognise it to be Ethan, one the twins. " And why would do hide? What is that supposed to mean?" I said turning back to meet his gaze. As Aiden walked closer, he stared into my eyes and immediately he bent the kneel. I knew one thing, It was glaring that Aiden knows I was the one but the qiestion remained how?" Don't embarrass me! Get up!" I shouted at him. Ethan looked at me and

FEDERICK'S POV I looked as Garry walked in to stop the blow from landing on my face. " Is this old and tiring already, Damain. Why don't you just agree to the fact that you lost? You don't scare anyone around here anymore." Garry said with his eyes cold. He adjusted his glasses and looked at me before his eyes darted back to Damain. " And who are you,Kid?" Damian asked making me laugh. I wonder if he was ready asking because he didn't remember who Garry was or because he kicked Ethan and Aiden's asses. I watched as they spoke some words into his ears. Damian's eyes gleaned with something darker. " Oh, you are him. I heard you run this place now. You beat up the two of them. Why don't you try picking on someone your own size?" A murmur rippled through the crowd. " You don't have to do this, Garry. This is my fight now yours." I said immediately. We have been friends for just two days now and he was saving me already making indebted to him. The last mission I was given

FEDERICK'S POV I didn't attach more meaning to the system's message. I had the money I needed at that time, which could probably last me how many weeks? A week? Two weeks?Or let's say three weeks at the most. And who is the guy the system was asking me to find? My thought was disrupted when I saw Georgia wheeling her sled towards me. "What was that?" She asked, staring at me. "What are you talking about?" I asked slowly, bending down to stare into her emerald eyes."Do tell me. You do know he was going to kick Garry's ass, and yet you allowed them to spar. Did you do that on purpose?" Georgia asked with her eyebrows arched. "No. I was not expecting Garry to lose. Have you seen him fight?" I asked, staring back at her. I saw some of the students gathering and staring at their phones. "Don't you see that he is acting strange?" One of the students said out loud. "Damian is always strange. So if you meant that he is acting strange because he kicked Harry's ass, then you bett

FEDERICK'S POV It looked like the atmosphere had stand still. I could feel the gentle breeze brushing slightly against my face. I looked at her, and she had her eye closed. She was not expecting it.I let out a smile. It was my first kiss, and it felt so good.I could hear the shutter sound of the camera coming from the nearby students and their loud whispering. I slowly pulled away and bent in front of her. "Do you believe me now?" Georgia's face went all pink, and I laughed. "Was that your first kiss too?" I asked, looking at her with suspense in my eyes. Georgia nodded. For a minute, I stood still, not sure of what I was feeling. I had always wanted my first kiss to be memorable, and seeing her like this is making all the emotions flood in. I had always believed she was experienced and knew more because she had been with more male students before me. "Are you serious right now?" I asked again, and she nodded. At that moment, I felt the butterflies in my tummy. I looked a

FEDERICK'S POV As I laid on my comformy bed. I looked around. I could hear the gentle humming of the washing washing right in the bathroom, the room felt cold as the air conditioning blew against my warm body. Health they say is wealth! I have everything going on the way I wanted except the few bruises on my face. I still have to worry about Damian despite all the money I was having. The money from the system is enough to sustain my expense through college but I need to make things right with Georgia. I remember the look she had on her face when I kissed her. The moment she walked away like I meant nothing to her. That looks, it was still vivid in my brain. I felt like I was hurting her when all I wanted to do was just make her feel loved. I was slowly rising among the elite ranks. Getting noticed by even the most strongest, wealthiest and beauties in the university. I know I need to stay focused. The reason why I have gotten this far was because of my shrewd determi

FEDERICK'S POV I don't know how I was supposed to feel about walking again. The thought of having to share the process with someone who was a cripple too was uncalled for, but it was what the system wanted. I looked at the wall clock, which doesn't seem to slow down, right in front of me. I have called Georgia for the fifth time, and she was not picking up my calls. What do I do?The thought of accepting my fate as a cripple gnawed at me. I picked up my phone and called Georgia's number again, and it kept ringing without being picked. I felt scared for her. What if Damian got to her? Or is it Richard? I was not sure of what to think anymore. I called Garry's line. "Can you get down here, dude? I need your help." I said firmly over the call. "Give me thirty minutes." Garry said back. I looked at the clock. "Thirty minutes? I don't have much time, Garry. If you don't want to get here and see my corpse, I suggest that you start coming now." "Fine, I will be on my way.

  • Chapter seventy seven

FEDERICK'S POV I got back home tired, exhausted and worn out. Trust me, it wasn't from fatigue or school exercise but from the fact that I was having a troubled mind. I couldn't stop thinking about what Sasha wanted to tell me, and it had been months since I got a mission from the system. It was like it never reached out to me in the first place. Like it never existed. I looked at my legs, which were now getting thinner from the fact that I had not been able to walk with them. I looked around the house and sighed. My life was a mess. A mess that needs to be cleaned up. I pulled myself out of the wheels and sat on the sofa chair. My mind went back to how it started. Maybe I shouldn't have pressed Yes on the system. Then I might still have my legs. Mandy will be gone, but then I would have gotten over her, and I was sure Damian must have moved on and forgotten I even existed. I let out a tiring sigh once again. Georgia. She won't also be in the mess she was, and she won'

That was when I knew I was in for the greatest torment of all time. Damain, Ethan, Aiden and even Mandy are all in my class. It was almost like the end of the world for me. "Oh, sweety, are you surprised?" Mandy said in a sweet tone, her handling draped over Damian's shoulders. I wanted to talk, but I couldn't just find the right word. "Gar, get your tongue? I thought you were all about saving your previous girlfriend." Mandy jested again. "Guess we should have school for the handicapped." Damian taunted, and all the students laughed at the thought of having a handicap institution. I wanted to fight back, but then I did not have the energy to. I was drained of power the moment I fell off the cliff. I said nothing but simply wheeled myself into the classroom.Ethan grabbed my chair and slammed

FEDERICK'S POV "What should I do?" Georgia looked at me. "Why are you asking me that, Georgia? You know just what to do." I said back at her, not feeling any kind of pity. "Do you even know what Damian cost the both of us?" I asked, staring at her face. "Do you know what I had to go through to get to where I am today? But you don't care, do you?" I said with anger. "Of course, I care. That is why I am here." Georgia replied. " You are only here because you are scared that I sent the message. Tell me, Georgia, do you really love me, or was it just the contract that binds us together?" The room was tense at that moment. She looked at me, and for a moment, I could feel a kind of bond between us. "Yes, I do, Fred. It just can't work between us." Georgia said again. "Why? What are you hiding from me? Are you scared of what Richard might do to you? If there is something I need to know, then you are free to tell me." I said again. Georgia looked at her feet and back at me.

Damain's pov The night was a bit chilly. Everything was going the way I wanted. Even Richard can do nothing to stop me and Fred, I was sure by now he had learnt who the boss is. I laid down on the carpet grass staring into the night. I was a bit tensed knowing fully well that Sergeant James won't stop trying to know how Fred had falling. But then, my father had men in higher places who can stop him with just a phone call. My mind drifted back to Dully. We had a deal before he did what I asked of him. He hasn't tell me what he wanted from me but I know Dully was sometimes unreasonable. " Enjoying the night breeze?" I hard a voice which looked almost like mine and I turned slightly to catch his gaze locked on me. " Yeah, the night breeze is cool. You should stay." I replied smacking a side on the carpet grass beside me. " You did a nice job, Dully. I don't think Fred will ever be away to walk and if he had escaped the fall then I would say he is one lucky bastard." The atmos

GEORGIA'S POV "I know you saw who did it!" The message dropped on my phone, and my heart rang like hell. I could feel my damp palms slowly begin to sweat. I looked around to see who texted me, but all the students gazes were fixed on their phones. Who messaged me? Who saw what happened on the roof aside from me, Fred and Damian? Was this some kind of trick Fred was pulling to make me spill? To make me tell the truth. " You can either tell the truth, or I make your life miserable. Your choice." The message was now threatening; I couldn't focus, and I knew I needed to go and see Fred at the hospital. That was the only way to clear my conscience.I wheeled myself towards the car park and asked one of the drivers to drive me down to the hospital. My mind raced like hell. Hoping and praying that Fred gave me a listening ear. I was seated frozen in front of the gigantic hospital, my face pale and my heartbeat thundering in my ears like a warning bell. Richard walked towards Damian, and before he could blink, he landed a blow to his mouth, sending him to the ground. "How dare you touch her! How dare you touch my girlfriend!" Richard shouted, looking at Damian, who was lying on the floor. Ethan and Aiden wanted to charge at him, but Damian raised his hands in the air. He let out a laugh that sent chills down my spine. "So this is it, huh? You should have thought about this before you attacked me," he said, spitting blood on the floor. "Thought about what? I can see all you ever cared about was yourself and no one else." Richard fired back, his hand clenched by his side. "You did this, Richy boy. The fall is on you and your girlfriend. You told her to call him to the library." Damain said, looking at Richard, and then his gaze shifted b

GEORGIA'S POVI haven't been myself ever since I saw who pushed Fred. I knew taking it now would mean one thing: making myself a moving target for Damian and his minions. Not that Richard would protect me. He was the one that asked me to call Fred, so he must know something about the push too or not. My heart thudded slightly each time I looked around to see the faces of each student looking at me. They had this judgemental look on them that made me want to go home and forget coming down to the school grounds today. So far, the news about the fall has been kept right inside the school. Many of the parents heard, and some said it has to be kept buried. My face was pale from the trauma, the drag and finally the push that sent Fred down from a storey building to the first floor. I wonder if he was alive. My conscience, my guilt, was eating me up. I needed to tell someone who could really save me and protect me from Damain. But who?I lifted my gaze, and then I saw the officers walki
