Mark went insane in astonishment. He paced to and fro in his office, perplexed. He couldn't believe a seemingly loser like Feran could have the effrontery to just hang up on him.

"Babe, how dare that worthless live-in son-in-law, Feran, be so bold to hang up on you?" His girlfriend asked, bewildered.

She was also astonished when she walked into Mark talking to Feran and became speechless when she learnt from Mark that Feran hung up on him.

"I think he just gathered the audacity to hang up on you after talking nonsense because you weren't in front of him. I'm certain he wouldn't have dared to go against your wish if you were seeing him."

"I will see to his brazenness later," Mark said and sent a text message to Damon, requesting he come to meet as soon as he could.

"You look worried, Mark. Let's go have a drink. I'm going to cheer you up," his girlfriend offered, caressing his face.

"Get your hands off me," Mark flinched.
