CHAPTER FORTY-EIGHT

I sidestepped as his green light missed me. Then I slammed my lightning bold, and it hit him, sending him flipping in the air. But before he could hit the ground, Joseph kicked him in the ribs and send him flying until he slammed a tree.

Without giving him a chance to attack, I went running towards him, outdoing every spell and jinx he set at me. Then I flung a hand but missed. He then caught my harm and flipped me in the air, then slammed me back down.

He then held his hand, and Joseph hovered in the air.

“Enough!” he shouted, then let us both go. “I just want to talk. I have done nothing for her yet. If you don’t do what I have asked of you, I will do what I have planned for her.” He spoke and moved at a safer distance for any of us to attack.

I took a dip breath, and my veins became normal. I even felt my heart relax after hearing what he just said about Maria been okay.
