A day had passed since Michael's release from jail, and determination fueled his every thought. Throughout the night, he mulled over his future. The first step on his agenda was to confront Logan, the man responsible for his adopted father's death, a man who posed a threat to Luke's safety.
Entering Reginald's room, Michael found his grandfather with Harrison. Greetings exchanged, Michael informed them of his decision to become the heir, emphasizing the need to handle the Logan situation first. He recounted the events leading to Logan's threat against him and Luke, explaining the urgency.
"Seems like you have had tougher than I thought." Reginald said without looking away from the documents.
"We should probably just use the police to arrest them."
Reginald suggested involving the police, but Michael, fueled by a desire for Logan's suffering, disagreed.
"I don't want the police to interfere with this, I want to handle this alone. I want Logan to suffer in pain."
"Master, young master Micheal is right, he should probably engage him In a more direct approach, we have the means to do this......We will have several ex military trained fully armed bodyguards to accompany us and we would be wearing bulletproof vests just in case."
Harrison, with a smirk, agreed with Micheal's direct approach as he spoke out.
Reginald hesitated, concerned for his grandson's involvement in violence, but Michael insisted, and Harrison argued that the heir needed to witness and take charge of what he desired.
Reluctantly, Reginald agreed, setting conditions for their mission. Michael and Harrison set out, accompanied by guards.
"Alright, fine.....I will allow it, but I have conditions.....The first one, Micheal you are forbidden from killing anyone directly, unless your life is threatened, the second condition, once you have successfully rescued your brother, we will handle his care and needs, you must never speak to him or engage him until I say so. Is that clear?" He looked at both Harrison and Micheal.
"Yes, grandpa....But can I know the reason for that?" He asked but Reginald shook his head as he continued with his documents.
Micheal sighed and Harrison followed him out of the mansion, he brought out a cell and made a call....... Tens of men gathered from no where, all of them fully armed as if ready for war.
"Where do go from here now?" Harrison asked Micheal showing him that they were fully capable and ready.
Their first task was to pick up Luke, awho was supposed to be at Alex's home, one of the deceased during the heist. However, upon arrival, they discovered the house in disarray, a clear sign of Logan's presence.
"They probably took him away to that freaking gambling center." Micheal said surprisingly calm.
Undeterred, Michael and Harrison proceeded to the gambling center where Logan was likely to be found. Michael insisted on going alone, but Harrison convinced him to allow his presence as a discreet observer. Leaving the guards outside, Michael entered the gambling center, drawing attention with his luxurious black slick suit.
In the back of the mini-casino, a sinister scene unfolded. Logan, taunting Luke, threatened to kill him.
"it's quite ballsy that nobodies fuch as yourselves would attack the young master's brother."Harrison intervened.
"Who the fuck are you? The situation escalated as Logan's men confronted Harrison.
"I am but a humble Butler, could you kindly release young Luke and I will be on my way." Harrison said and one of Logan's men laughed.
"Seems like he is mad."
Suddenly, Michael emerged from hiding, demanding Logan's surrender.
"Give Luke back to me and I won't hurt you, much."
Laughter echoed from Logan, who mocked Michael for returning after abandoning his brother. As Logan prepared to face them, Harrison pulled out a gun, revealing Michael's guards who were armed with assault rifles. The tide had turned.
Logan's men found themselves outgunned and outnumbered.
"What the hell is going on? Is this some sort of joke?" One of Logan's men said as fear consumed him.
Panic set in as Michael's guards swiftly neutralized the threat. They gunned down everyone except for Logan and a few others, Logan, on the ground and afraid for his life, begged for mercy.
"Please, forgive me. Don't kill me, I will do anything you want. please.........dont just kill me."
In his rage, Michael took an assault rifle and brutally beat Logan, the sound of bones breaking echoing in the room.
For ten intense minutes, Michael unleashed his anger until Harrison touched his shoulder, urging restraint.
"I think that's enough young master, if you keep on going. You will kill him."
The realization of his own violence sank in. Harrison reminded him of the condition set by Reginald—no killing. The assault ceased, and Michael, holding the gun, threatened Logan as he was about to squeezed the trigger.
"If I see you near Luke again, I will put a bullet in your head. Are we clear?" Micheal said about to pull the trigger and Logan fainted before he could give an answer.
Leaving with his injured brother, Michael's first step toward victory was marked with a sense of accomplishment.
"Harrison let's leave, we have to get an hospital so we can treat Luke." He said and Harrison nodded as he signaled the guards to return back.
He looked at the alley again, which was the exact location where his father was killed by Logan.
"Goodbye, father."
In the aftermath of Michael's confrontation with Logan, the air within the Ashford mansion crackled with tension. The patriarch, Valentine's father, sat in his study, a storm brewing behind his eyes. The news of Michael's ascension to heir left a bitter taste in his mouth."The old man still wants to give my brother's son the title of heir!" he exclaimed, his anger palpable. The sound of a wooden chair shattering echoed in the room. His resentment seeped through every word. "This is all because that woman, your mother, didn't give me a son. Instead, she gave birth to you." His voice dripped with disdain for Valentine's mother, a feeble woman in his eyes, unfit to rule the family.Valentine, standing before her father, felt the weight of his disappointment. She dared not meet his gaze, always haunted by the knowledge that she never fulfilled his expectations."I'm...... I'm......sorry father." It was so pitiful, she had to apologise for being a girl, Her head bowed, she listened in sil
Micheal woke up early to a life of luxury, his clothes and breakfast prepared by the diligent maids. Though unfamiliar, he felt surprisingly at ease in this new lifestyle. Harrison, appearing beside him with a tablet in hand, relayed Reginald's plans for the day as Micheal ate his breakfast in his expensive suit."Master Reginald has a list of things he wants you to do with him. Today, you'll be meeting all the CEOs of the giant enterprises across the world. The private jet is bring prepped as we speak, and by the time we get there. It should be ready to take off."Micheal's reaction was immediate, a fit of coughing at the mention of a private jet."Did you just say, a private jet?" Harrison looked puzzled, wondering if he had misspoken. Clarifying, he confirmed that indeed they would be using a private jet."Indeed, that is how we plan to get there in time." He replied simply and Micheal looked at Harrison eyes wide opened."But those things cost a fortune, millions to multi-millio
As the private jet descended, Micheal's mind churned with thoughts. The impending challenge, the cryptic nature of Valentine's apology, and the weight of family expectations weighed heavily on his shoulders."You look nervous grandson." Reginald said holding his signature walking cane."Shouldn't I be?" Micheal asked a pragmatic question and Reginald slowly chuckled."You are right to be nervous, it means you understand the gravity of this meeting. This meeting is a collection of most of the powerful bodies in the world, we determine what direction the world is going, be it entertainment, fashion and consumables. You, Micheal are a part of that now." The jet smoothly touched down, signaling the beginning of a crucial juncture in Micheal's journey.Exiting the jet, they were greeted by a team of executives from the hosting company. The meeting venue was a grand conference hall, filled with influential figures from various giant enterprises. The atmosphere buzzed with business discuss
Micheal, maintaining a calm exterior, sat across from Victoria as she provided a brief history of her family's fortune derived from crude oil. The Rockford family's rise had been fueled by the support of the Ashford family, establishing a mutually beneficial relationship. However, the atmosphere shifted when Victoria, with a mischievous giggle, slid a set of documents across the table."What are these papers?" Micheal asked and she prompted him to take a look, as Micheal perused the termination contract between their families, his eyes widened in disbelief."This is a termination contract between our two families, of course there is clause stating that if I have to do this, I would have to pay 10 trillion dollars but that's not an issue as I have found a better business partner." The termination of a long-standing alliance was unprecedented, and he struggled to comprehend the motives behind such a move.Unable to locate Reginald or even Valentine in the bustling room, Micheal felt a
The creaking door echoed through the dimly lit hallway as Michael hesitated before stepping into the suffocating atmosphere of the small, run-down house. The air was heavy with the pungent stench of stale smoke and cheap alcohol, a familiar scent that clung to the walls like a toxic residue. He sighed, the weight of his reality settling on his shoulders like an oppressive cloak. His adopted father, a man weathered by the years and worn by vices, sat slouched in a worn-out armchair. The flickering light of a television cast eerie shadows on his face, revealing a disheveled beard and bloodshot eyes. The room itself seemed to groan under the burden of years of neglect, with peeling wallpaper and worn-out furniture bearing witness to the decay of both the house and its occupants.Luke, Michael's younger brother, looked up from the corner where he huddled. His eyes, wide with a mixture of fear and anticipation, met Michael's."Get me more beer!" the old man barked, his voice slurred and ha
Michael lay there on the cold, damp ground, feeling the weight of raindrops pounding against his shoulder. "Fuck." Micheal whispered softly as he felt the drops. The chill seeped through his clothes as he glanced at the lifeless figure nearby. With a heavy heart, he turned away, deciding to head home. Sprinting through the pouring rain, he reached his doorstep only to find the door shattered, a glaring sign of intrusion."Luke!" He raised his voice to call for his brother. His heart pounded in his chest as he strained to hear above the rain. The muffled sounds of distress reached his ears, and dread tightened its grip on him. Following the ominous noises, he stumbled upon a scene that sent shockwaves through his entire being. A gang of six menacing figures, adorned with tattoos and brandishing knives, surrounded his younger brother, Luke. The leader, a menacing presence with a gun, confidently smoked a cigarette, orchestrating the brutality before him."Leave my brother alone!!!!!"
Micheal winced as he gingerly rose to his feet, his battered body protesting each movement. Luke, his eyes red from a mix of tears and rage, paced the room, unable to contain the anger that surged within him."That bastard Logan... even after Dad's gone, he's still messing with us. I can't believe this," Luke seethed, his fists clenched.Micheal, despite the pain coursing through him, placed a hand on Luke's shoulder in a feeble attempt at comfort. "We'll get through this, Luke. We just need to figure out a way."Luke scoffed, frustration evident in his voice. "A week to gather $50,000? We don't have that kind of money. If we did, we wouldn't be in this mess. I hate this life. Why is this happening to us?"The weight of their father's debt pressed down on them like an insurmountable mountain. Micheal, trying to maintain a semblance of hope, said, "Once we get past this, we're free. We just need to find a way."Surveying the dilapidated surroundings, Micheal shook his head. "Let's not
The dimly lit mall echoed with the distant hum of maintenance machinery as Alex, Michael, and Andrew huddled together in the cold solitude of a restroom. The air was thick with tension, their breaths visible in the chill as they prepared for the risky job ahead."Everyone knows, what they are supposed to do but let's go over it again." Micheal began, his eyes reflecting the gravity of their situation. "We waited until the mall is closed already and the lights are out," Andrew, you'll pick the lock on the jewelry store. Once inside, I'll keep watch just in case. Alex, you disable the alarms remotely."Michael's nerves tightened, his mind grappling with the enormity of what they were about to undertake. The Ashford family's jewelry store was no ordinary target; it was a fortress of opulence owned by one of the most influential families on Earth. The stakes were high, and failure could mean consequences far more severe than Logan's wrath.Three days had passed prior to the clandestine
