Chapter 3

Dimitri walked out of the meeting room and walked along the hallway, feeding his eyes with the artist drawing on the wall while Mr Aaron and two other blue suited men followed him from behind 

"You seem to appreciate the artistic work on the wall," Mr Aaron said with a smile.

Dimitri stopped at a painting which had the clear view of a mother breastfeeding her child "I love and appreciate art, it creates a special feeling in the heart of those who understands the message it sends" He said and turned over to face Mr Aaron "I noticed my mother changed her last name from Nicholas to steel why is that?" He inquired 

"Your mother was never supposed to marry your father because she was betrothed to the popular Mexican drug Lord, Eliandro Cassano. But because he was into cocaine pushing and illegal under world business, she ran away from home where she met your father and fell in love with him, but when he picked up the habit of cheating on her she ran back to her father and agreed to marry Eliandro which she did, and she had two sons for him."

"What! My mum had two sons for another man? So I'm not her only child? Isn't she supposed to share the company among us? Why did she give me all of it?" He said, as his eyes lit up in surprise.

"I'm sorry young master, I'm not suppose to be telling you this, the only thing I know is, after five years of marriage to Mr Eliandro, your mother divorced him and left Mexico empty handed, she came to Anatolia and started up Steel Group which is now the biggest company in the city and beyond" Mr Aaron said 

"And what about my supposed step brothers?" He fired at Mr Aaron inquisitively

"They are both overseas studying, and they will be back from school in no time, Young master Damien who is the first child is about to round off, while young master Vincent is in his penultimate year. They aren't aware of you yet, that is why your mother has been desperately searching for you, to learn the ethics of the company before their arrival, as at now, you're not a worthy opponent, these kids have dedicated their lives to learn how to act like boss, be the boss and rule the business world, you lack proper etiquette, you need to be properly lectured" Mr Aaron explained with seriousness in his face

Dimitri looked at him a little puzzled. "My mother has given me her entire possession, what else do I have to worry about?" He said nonchalantly 

"Though your mother might have given you her whole possession, but to take complete control of Steel Group and become chairman, you have to make and convince the entire board members that you're good enough. Listen, Young master Damien has been controlling his father's underworld business and company even as a young child and Vincent is no different. If you don't want to lose your whole possession and wealth to them, you have to learn how to act like a boss. You're Dimitri Steel, son of a renowned business tycoon, '' Mr Aaron said and placed his hand on Dimitri's shoulder.

"Your mother didn't just give you her possession to make you rise to power, she also transferred her unfinished fight to you, right now, you have to do dirty jobs just to get what you want, you have to kill, if anyone threatens to get on your way, you have to show your step brothers that you're better than them in everything. And the earlier you understand this, Young master, the better chance you have to succeeding" Mr Aaron added and bowed before walking away leaving Dimitri to wallow in his own thoughts.

He had so many questions popping up in his head and he needed answers to each and everyone of them "Mr Aaron!" He called out in desperation as Mr Aaron stopped on his tracks and turned around to face Dimitri

"Can I help you with something young master?" He asked, trying to act clueless about why he was called. He knew Dimitri would want to know about what is going around In his family and beyond and he was ready to take the risk of telling him all of it.

"I would like us to talk while having coffee, there are so many things I need to know, and I believe you know that," Dimitri said with a serious expression on his face.

"Then, the Dining room would be the best place for such discussions" Mr Aaron said and walked further as he opened a door and gestured for Dimitri to enter.

He entered absentmindedly as he looked around the room, this was nothing like a dining room, it was just a room with a large sofa and nice paintings on the wall "What room is this?" He asked unable to clear out his curiosity 

"This is the guest room, it is a place where sensitive issues are being discussed. I'm not allowed to go in, but you're the young master so you have a right to come in. What is it you wanted to ask me, young master?" He said looking at Dimitri seriously.

Dimitri drew closer to him with all form of sobriety in his eyes "Tell me more about my step brothers, why are they a threat to me? I don't think I can help my mother take revenge over something she had a choice over" Dimitri spoke out nonchalantly 

"Didn't you have a choice to turn down the contract you had three years ago with Lyda Jones, your ex wife? Why do you want to take revenge on her if your theory of revenge is on the foundation of the choice you had to avoid everything from happening?" Mr Aaron blurted out a little irritated 

Dimitri stood up and seized him on the throat as his eyes boiled in anger "How dare you liken my situation to that of my mother, she had a choice to stay with my dad but she went out with another man and even had two sons for him, I had no choice about Lyda, my dad was in jail and he needed an urgent bail, I needed the money desperately" Dimitri fired as he tightened the grip on Mr Aaron's neck.

"Yet you had a choice to either let your dad rot in jail or find money by all means" Mr Aaron said trying to losing Dimitri's grip on his neck "This is not just about you Dimitri, I know how desperately you want to take down everyone who looked down on you and I would give my life to help you, but you can't take your revenge if you can't sustain your very own possession"

"You know nothing about me Aaron! How much I want to make that bitch and her family suffer for looking down on me! So, stop feeding me with the problems of my mother" Dimitri exclaimed 

"Your mother never wanted any of this and the choice she made is what spared your life Dimitri, so before you start talking about choices, study the situation" Mr Aaron struggled to speak as Dimitri finally withdrew the grip he had on his neck 

"What do you mean by what you just said? How did her choice spare my life?" Dimitri said still angry

Mr Aaron arranged his suit which was now rumpled, before speaking "After your mother lost the lawsuit, she went to Eliandro to help her get you back but he captured her and forcefully married her, but she refused to consummate the marriage so he killed your grandmother, and when she refused further he killed your father but she gave in when he threatened to kill you"

"Believe me when I say, your mother had to make so many tough choices in life, she was at your father's funeral and she watched in pain as you cried your eyes out but she wasn't allowed to talk to you or give a sign at all that she was around, they had a snipper pointed at you incase she does otherwise, now you understand that this is not just about Lyda but it is also about those who killed your grandmother, your father, and abused your mother" Mr Aaron added with a frown on his face

Dimitri clenched his fist in anger."Those fools! How dare they kill those who mean a lot to me! How dare they abuse my mother! I want to find them, all of them! I want them dead!" He shouted in frustration as tears flowed down his cheek and his face became red.

He loved his grandmother so much as she took care of him for most of his childhood and he was so shocked as she was brought home dead that night. Though himself and his father were in rage but they did not have money to carry out a proper investigation 

And those fools didn't stop, they poisoned his dad and burnt the house while he was inside, he wasn't even able to say a proper goodbye to his dad nether did he have a proper body to cry on as his dad's body was all burnt to ash, they left him to be an adult at the age of fifteen.

His life has been tough but what makes it tougher is that the murderers are still comfortable. He looked at Mr Aaron with determination in his eyes "What do I have to do to make them pay?"

Mr Aaron smiled, and a clap sounded from behind them as Mrs Steel walked in front of them "Have you been here all this time mum?" Dimitri asked a little puzzled 

She looked at him tearfully and hugged him tightly "They killed your brother Dimitri, when I left your dad, I discovered I was three months pregnant and Eliandro gave me a drug that aborted the pregnancy without my knowledge! You have to make them pay Dimitri, you're the family's only hope" She said, crying weakly

Dimitri looked at her as his heart broke in pain, he didn't want to see her cry, she had gone through a lot and he wanted her to be happy but that wasn't going to happen until he took his revenge on all those who turned his family upside down.

"What do I have to do to make them pay!" He asked again, directing the question at Mr Aaron as he held his mum tightly allowing her sub on his shoulder.

"You need to be trained and thought how to be the boss, you lack proper control of your emotions, you don't even know the etiquette of the life of an underworld Lord, I  want you, to build a ruthless presence in Anatolia and beyond, I want to build and shapen you in ruthlessness. Whenever you're ready we would fly you to Singapore where you would start your journey to becoming a man whose step sends shivers down the spine of anyone close by" Mr Aaron explained

"I'm ready to go now, I need to start now!" Dimitri said in desperation

"Then I would arrange for your flight tonight, you're going to be trained for two years, I would make sure I take care of your mother while you're away like I've always done" Mr Aaron said

Dimitri clenched his fist as he thought of the future ahead, he is going to dedicate his life to train for his revenge, and he would make them all pay, they would regret it soon!
