Chapter 6: Dinner

"Brother, you wouldn't mind us bringing her to the dinner right?" Rin remarked, she was glaring cutely at Jin as she said those words.

But before he could even reply, Ruyan immediately interjected: "No need, it's quite rare for your brother to have dinner with the both of you, it would be a shame for me to ruin it."

Although she was trying to be kind and understanding of the siblings' situation, Ruyan immediately held her hand to her mouth and felt quite awkward, she immediately bowed slightly to Rin: "Sorry, I spoke too much."

She was apologetic due to her knowing their family's circumstances. It was supposed to be a family issue.

Rin chuckled and waved her hand: "Don't worry, it's not even private, even his employees know it."

Hearing this, Ruyan could only awkwardly smile.

Meanwhile, Jin was pained hearing this, but he tried to brush it off, after all, he was planning to make it up with his sisters after all.

Well, not like he has any other choice, after all, they will be in the same fortress for who knows how many decades, centuries, or whatever.

Still, it hurts quite a bit.

He smiled at Rin and said: "Don't worry, she can come with us."

"Great!" Rin smiled, not knowing how much her words had hurt Jin.

But truth be told, instead of any hateful feelings towards Jin, both Rin and Lin are thankful to their brother, the brother who had given up everything just to put a piece of bread for the both of them to eat.

That same brother had given up going to school and collecting garbage to be sold for a few pennies till creating his own version of his first phone, loaned, getting investments, and creating a company from scratch.

He was more of a role model to them, a big brother, a father, and even the role of a mother, he took everything by himself.

Their brother had given them everything other than his time, why would they even feel the need to trouble him any further?

Even if they had so very much wished to spend time with him, they knew too well how hard their brother had worked to be who he was and what he could give to everyone.

Jin then looked at Ruyan and smiled: "Ruyan right? Thank you for taking care of my sisters."

Hearing this, Ruyan immediately waved her hand: "No, no, it's them taking care of me!"

Jin of Ruyan's history due to her telling almost everything to him in his past life.

It was only her and her mother taking care of each other, she's quite a shy person, but still, due to her mother suddenly falling ill from overworking, she had to take two part-time jobs while studying.

It was also then that she had met two kind sisters, and after they knew about her circumstances, they offered her a job.

Who would even know that those two sisters were his very own sisters?

At this, Lin also arrived.

"Brother, I'm here!" Lin shouted with excitement.

It was a mini version of Rin, seeing her little sister once more after so many years, he couldn't help but have this sour feeling deep within once more.

Still, he tried his best to hold it in and patted his youngest sister on her head: "Alright, since everyone is here, how about we go now?"

Lin pouted, but deep within felt quite happy and excited: "Brother! I'm already 18 years old, stop treating me like a child in public!"

Jin couldn't help but chuckle as he nodded his head: "Alright, I won't do it again in public."

With that, Jin chatted a bit more before pressing something on his keys and immediately transforming his sports car into a 4 seater.

After asking where to go for a few minutes, they decided to head to a rather average restaurant that has massive positive reviews for having really great food.

It only took 15 minutes of driving till they arrived.

They ordered the most expensive set costing 25,000, yet, to the siblings and Jin, it was almost worth nothing.

On the other hand though, it was really expensive for Ruyan.

25,000? That's four months of her salary!

Her salary is extremely massive compared to an average person though, still, that's expensive even for her!

Yet, after ordering such a meal, the three siblings were just chatting like it was nothing.

She couldn't help but sigh, the difference between them is really massive.

"Ah right! Brother, Lin and I were thinking." At this, Rin suddenly changed the topic.

Jin looked up: "Yes? What's wrong?"

Rin smiled mischievously: "We were planning an out-of-country trip! Just the two of us!"

"Well, we were planning to go with Ruyan but she's really adamant about not going and taking care of her mother." Rin added.

Hearing this, Jin's body suddenly froze, he was about to shout and decline their suggestion, but he immediately shook just from the thought of it.

He immediately changed his expression and smiled at both Rin and Lin: "Sorry, but I hope that you guys can delay it for at least two months, is that alright?"

Rin and Lin were both shocked and confused at this, it was the first time that Jin had not agreed to their request.

Rin asked: "What's the matter? Is something wrong?"

Jin shook his head and smiled: "Just that, I had a plan, and if you both are going away, you won't be able to see it."

"How about listening to this brother of yours first? Just two months, is that alrighty?" Jin smiled as he asked them with a gentle smile.

Hearing their brother, Lin and Rin nodded their head.

The group chatted for a while.

But then, out of nowhere, Jin's phone suddenly rang.

It's just a normal and normal thing for most people, but when Lin and Rin heard this, it felt like a mood destroyer.

After all, when they are together and Jin has to answer his phone, it usually means one thing.

The dinner was over and their brother had some work to do.

But this time, Jin looked at his phone and immediately turned it down.

Then, he looked at his siblings and smiled: "What happened? Why is your mood suddenly down?"

Rin and Lin were quite shocked, but they immediately shook their head: "Nothing." They replied at the same time.

The two smiled, somewhat had some tears in their eyes.

They may not show it, but deep within their heart, they always wished that their brother will pick them once in a while over the company.

But if there are no companies being managed by their brother, they know that their brother will probably work once more, doing two to three jobs per day!

And with that, they won't even have time for dinner! That's the worst!

But to think that their brother would ignore his call like their wish, it really was like a dream.

Hence, they felt really satisfied eating their dinner, not because of the food, but the event!

But as they were eating happily, a group of people arrived.

"Oh, Ruyan is eating here? That's quite an event!"
