Enemy of Fate.

A few minutes ago...

Derrick floated on the sea listless.

His eyes were blank and devoid of reason as he floated there like a dead body.

The water rose and fell and carried Derrick along with its movements. Small waves clashed and a drop of water splashed on his face.

His eyes slowly regained clarity.

Right now he could no longer remember anything.

He looked up at the sky and wondered what it was. He watched the swaying sea and was perplexed at it. He could no longer remember who he was.

He closed his eyes and continued moving with the water.

Why think so much?

Wasn't it just better to stay like this forever?

BAM!

His eyelids shot open.

His eyes became red and fat drops of tears started rolling down his face.

Derrick could not remember anything, but he knew he shouldn't be here. Something bad was happening and if he let it continue he would forever lose something dear to him.

He racked his brain but it was useless. His mind was blank!
