Faul, along with his mother and Billie, had been adjusting to their new life in Jura for some time now. Life wasn't as easy as it was in the mountains. In the mountains, they didn't need money to buy anything they needed, as nature had provided everything.
Maria had to get work as a waiter in a small eatery in Jura to provide for Faul. Billie, on the other hand, decided to use his skill to help the family also, so he went and joined a little escort cavalry in the city. With his strength and skills, earning money was not a big deal for him. In order to live the life of a normal kid, Maria used her unique power of matter manipulation and changed the color of Faul's eyes with a little tint of red in them, making it seem normal, except when he was too excited or angry his eyes would turn bright red like that of a dragon. Life had been going smoothly until the day the refugee camp was attacked by the Pure Blood, as they called themselves. Pure Blood was a group of individuals from different cities who didn't like the accommodation given to refugees, especially people from Karaza, after hearing of what happened on the island of Shunga ten years ago. The city had been divided into two factions: those who supported the Pure Blood and those who supported the refugees. The Pure Blood believed that the emperor wasn't supposed to give free lands to the refugees of Karaza but should have given them out as slaves to the other cities. So they had been attacking and taking the refugees as slaves from time to time. The emperor countered them several times, leading to bloodshed, but he came to the conclusion that the refugees had to save themselves because fighting his people during the period of the lingering full-scale war with the Red Death was detrimental to the survival of the nation. ... Billie was out on an escorted journey with his fellow escort cavalry, leaving only Maria and Faul to fend for themselves with the little funds he left for them and what Maria was earning. On the night of the attack, Maria was weak after the day's work and decided to rest for the night after preparing dinner for Faul, who was still out on the field training with other kids. "Attack! Capture the children and women and kill the men!" said the leader of the Pure Blood raiders. "Run! The Pure Blood has attacked again!" a man shouted, but before he could take a step, his body fell without a head. The attack continued, and the children in the field training had no idea that an attack was going on in the refugee side of the city. All of a sudden, Faul froze and said, "My mother is in danger. I have to hurry!" ... Maria, who was very weak, opened her eyes weakly to see what the commotion was all about, only to find out the house was on fire. She used the water magic she had to quench the fire as she ran outside. "A sorcerer! We need her alive!" shouted the leader of the Pure Blood raiders. Maria was ready to defend herself, but all of a sudden she lost her balance. She felt dizzy. Not knowing what was going on, she tried so hard to resist, but she heard someone say, "Oh, don't try too much, ma'am. I know who you are and how to hold you down," a man said, holding his hands out toward Maria. As Maria looked up to see who said those words, behold, it was Alfonsus, the servant chief of her former household. Before she could say a word, she slumped down, and everything went dark. "I have been looking for you, ma'am Maria. Now it's time to get rid of your devilish son, who will kill us all," Alfonsus said as he bent down and carried Maria. Faul was running at his full speed. Although he had the strength that surpassed an average human, he was still a ten-year-old boy. The more his anger rose to another level, the more powerful he felt. His scales were expanding, covering the whole of his back. His red eyes started brightening even more, and his fangs were growing longer and more crystalized. "Roooooooooar!" Faul roared as he saw someone he didn't recognize carry his mother off the ground and drop her on a horse. "Stop him. He might be a ten-year-old boy, but don't underestimate him. He's dangerous," said Alfonsus as he climbed the horse and sped off into the darkness with Maria. ... The sword in Billie's scabbard started vibrating and giving out a buzzing sound. "What's happening? Are they in trouble?" Billie asked, but before he could finish his thought, the sword had already left the scabbard and split into two. One went back into the scabbard while the other flew into the sky and disappeared. ... "Don't touch my family!" Faul roared as a sword appeared from nowhere behind him, shining with a red murderous color. "Kill him!" shouted one of the Pure Blood raiders. The refugees hiding were watching how a ten-year-old boy held so much power and aura. Zoooooom! About twenty men, fully equipped to the toe with the best weapons and skills, fell down with Faul standing at the center of the massacre with a sword in his hand. The red shining sword looked as if it had tiny veins that connected it to Faul's hand. Faul's skin was glowing like a diamond, exuding a powerful aura like that of a dragon. "Moooooother!!!" Faul let out another roar as he vanished from sight in search of his mother.

“Wakie wakie.” The voice sounded distant yet oddly close, echoing through the fog in Faul’s mind. As he slowly opened his eyes, the world around him blurred like a half-remembered dream. His vision struggled to focus, unable to make out any details. All he could see was the faint silhouette of someone nearby. “Where... where am I?” Faul croaked, trying to sit up. The figure that stood before him appeared to be a young girl around his age, her voice carrying a light, curious tone. “Dad! He’s awake!” she called out excitedly, turning toward the doorway. Faul blinked repeatedly, trying to make sense of everything. His head throbbed with confusion. How did he even get here? What had happened to him? A few seconds later, a tall, broad-shouldered man stepped into the room. His presence was strong, commanding, but not threatening. He stared at the girl with stern eyes. “Anna, didn’t I tell you to stay away from this room?” the man scolded. “I’m sorry, Dad,” Anna said, her lips pouting
Faul: The Reincarnation Chapter 11: Knighthood
The next few days passed uneventfully as Faul slowly adjusted to his new surroundings. Alfred and Anna had been nothing but kind, ensuring he had everything he needed. Despite the warmth of their home, Faul remained distant, his mind consumed with thoughts of his missing mother and the strange new world he now had to survive in. One quiet morning, as Faul stood outside staring into the horizon, Alfred called out to him. “Faul,” he said, his voice firm but encouraging. “There’s an ongoing selection happening soon. The Knight School and the School of Sorcery from the Kaar Nation will be arriving here any day now. They're scouting for young talents like you to join the knighthood and the sorcery towers.” Alfred walked closer, lowering his voice a bit. “I believe this could be the easiest way to find your mother. Join one of the academies, grow stronger, and you’ll get closer to the truth. There’s a storm coming, Faul. You need to be ready.” Faul looked up at him, emotionless. “Until t
Faul: The Reincarnation Chapter 12: Secret In The Woods
Faul arrived with Phil at the equipment room to select their training gear. The place was filled with an array of weapons and tools, neatly arranged across the walls and shelves. Faul moved silently from one piece of equipment to another, his eyes scanning carefully. Phil, meanwhile, stood by, curiously observing his new friend, wondering what he’d do next. “Hey Phil, what do you think about this?” Faul asked, lifting a short black sword from the wall. The blade gleamed faintly, and its hilt was covered in red, scaly leather that resembled dragon skin. “Uh… it looks kind of devilish,” Phil replied, laughing nervously. To his surprise, Faul chuckled along. It was the first time Phil had seen him laugh since his arrival at the camp, and the sound felt rare and unexpected. “You made a good choice, son,” came a familiar voice. Alfred stepped into the room, arms crossed and a fond look on his face. “Your father picked up that same sword the day we arrived at our training camp back then.
Faul: The Reincarnation Chapter 13: Back To Find My Brother
“Something’s wrong. Are they in trouble?” Billie thought the moment the sword left its scabbard. The strange sensation that followed sent a chill down his spine. “Billie… Billie… you need to find Faul. Find him and tell him not to come looking for me. He needs to be prepared for what’s to come,” a voice echoed in his mind. It was soft, almost like a whisper in the wind, but Billie instantly recognized it—it was Maria. His heart pounded. “I have to find him… before he does something that will get us all killed,” Billie muttered to himself. Just then, a hand landed gently on his shoulder. “Hey, Billie. The boss says it’s your turn to take the guard post tonight,” said Dan, one of the oldest and most respected members of the escort cavalry. “Okay, Dan. I got it,” Billie replied, forcing a smile. Dan had always been like an older brother to him—easygoing, protective, and understanding. Since Billie joined the escort cavalry, Dan had looked after him with care and patience. They still
Faul: The Reincarnation Chapter 14: War And Love
One year had passed since Billie returned and delivered the message Maria had sent through the sword. After finding out that Faul was under Alfred’s care, Billie decided to continue his journey with the escorting cavalry until the time came for the great war against the Red Death. In that time, Billie had grown significantly stronger. By the age of twenty, he had surpassed the magical limits once thought to bind his bloodline. His family was already renowned for holding more magical power than the average sorcerer, but Billie had shattered expectations. At twenty, he had broken through the magical barrier and was now wielding six distinct magic abilities. His swordsmanship, too, had evolved beyond recognition. Among both the older and younger generations of warriors, Billie stood at the top—his blade swift, precise, and deadly. He had become the best swordsman within his escorting cavalry, earning the respect and admiration of all around him. Other escort units, who usually loved to
Faul: The Reincarnation Chapter 15: War And Love 2
As Faul left the scene with Anna, Amy, and Phil, the entire area fell into complete silence. Everyone was still trying to process what had just happened—how Faul had managed to defeat five people within seconds. “Did you see how he moved? Or what kind of magic he used?” one trainee asked in disbelief. “He only used magic when he zapped Leo,” another replied, still stunned. “The rest he beat down with his fists... just his fists.” “That Faul is a monster,” someone muttered under their breath. “We need to be careful around him.” The murmurs continued as the unconscious boys were carried off to the camp physician for urgent care. Nobody could quite comprehend how a boy younger than most of them had moved so fast, so precisely, and so powerfully. Meanwhile, a dark cloud loomed over Faul’s heart. “Humans are starting to get on my nerves,” Faul said, his voice low and heavy with emotion. “I might end up doing something I don’t want to... I wish my mother was here.” “Faul…” Anna calle
Faul: The Reincarnation Chapter 16: The Emergence of the Guardian
In the land of Kaar, two distinct factions held sway over the ancient and mysterious world: the knights and the mages. Knights were warriors, skilled in the arts of battle and forged through steel and blood. Mages, on the other hand, were masters of magic, their power stemming from ancient sorcery passed down through generations. It was said that those born with the potential to harness both knighthood and sorcery were destined for greatness. These rare individuals, known as Guardians, were unstoppable in war. With both the strength of a knight and the power of a mage, they could clear entire cities single-handedly. The world had seen them only once or twice in its long history, and their presence was as feared as it was revered. For centuries, Kaar had been waiting for the return of the Guardians. It was foretold that one day, a "sun shall rise from a fallen city," but this could only occur when the city had already crumbled, and the world had descended into chaos. The prophecy had
Faul: The Reincarnation Chapter 17: The Fall of Azra: The Brothers' Fate
"Hey, Gag! Take me along!” Little Braf (Faul) shouted, his voice full of youthful enthusiasm. Gag glanced back at his younger brother with a soft smile, but his eyes were filled with concern. "Oh, little Braf, you can’t fly for long, and I don’t have enough strength to carry your weight," he replied gently. Braf frowned, his small form standing on the edge of a cliff. "I can still try! I’m not that small!" he protested, his arms outstretched as if to prove his point. Gag sighed and placed a hand on Braf’s head, ruffling his hair affectionately. “Baby brother, just stay behind. I’ll get you the flowers from the garden when I return,” Gag said, his voice carrying a mix of affection and a quiet, hidden sorrow. As Gag spread his wings and lifted into the air, he thought to himself, *Little Braf, you might look so innocent now, but you could become a problem for me in the future. I just hope we’ll be on the same side when the time comes.* With a heavy heart, Gag soared into the sky, hi

Billie's Adventure
The Red Dragon Escort Cavalry has been a name feared by bandits in and out of many Kaar cities. Just the mere mention of the name Red Dragon Escort Cavalry, foes, and even other escort cavalries would tremble to the extent that each task they showed interest in was left alone by all other escort cavalries. But despite all the fame and glory, even a mighty cavalry like the Red Dragon Escort Cavalry has its problems but it is something that Billie can handle. Controlling five magic powers and controlling them with perfection is a thing many are envious of, but no one has the guts to let Billie know that. Billie is someone who is kind but does not tolerate any nonsense. At his age, he is the leader of a mighty escort cavalry that puts any bandit group to the ground. The name, Red Dragon Escort Cavalry, is a warrior on its own, and when the members of the escorting cavalry show up, any bandit will be annihilated. After Faul in the hands of Alfred, he embarked on his own journey to find
You are my master?
Faul was utterly surprised by what Yin and Yang said, but he just couldn't believe it. "What did you say?" Faul tightened his grip around Yin and Yang's neck. "I... said... my... master... is... the greatest dragon that ever lived, Braf," Yin and Yang forced himself to say while being choked. Faul dropped him to the ground, standing still for a few minutes before he opened his hands towards the thick smoke, and it spread far and wide, growing even thicker. "Why is he acting like this? No one should know my master around here, right?" Yin and Yang thought before he found himself being lifted off the ground. "You are coming with me." Faul didn't give Yin and Yang any choice and lifted him off the ground before taking flight from the area, heading deep into the mountains. Others didn't know what was going on between the two who were fighting earlier, as they no longer heard any fighting going on between them. Phil knew that Faul had left with Yin and Yang because he could no longer
Yin And Yang
Faul carried Phil back to the camp at a fast pace, with the other two tagging along behind him. The journey was a quiet one. Faul felt depressed—if he had arrived any later, his friends might have been dead. Meanwhile, the others worried that maybe Faul was angry with them for being too weak. He had simply picked up Phil and left without saying a word. Faul was never someone who knew how to express himself—except with his sword when he was pissed off. They snuck into the camp through the back and found that everyone was fast asleep. Faul laid Phil down in his corner and then went to his own spot without saying anything to the others. They were all worried—wondering if their long-standing friendship might break apart in a single night. “What were they even doing in the woods at that time?” “Were they following me?” Faul had a lot on his mind and couldn’t sleep all night. The following morning, they were awakened by the clang of a metal pot. Faul noticed the two had bags under thei
Instant Kill
Faul sneaked out of the camp through the back of the tent and went into the woods to hunt for food, as recently, eating normal human food no longer quenched his hunger. Unbeknownst to him, Phil opened his eyes and followed closely behind. He was quietly tailing Faul, not caring if anyone saw him leaving the camp. Of course, he was seen by both Ralph and Harry, who also sneaked out of the camp, following the two into the woods. "What do you think these two are going into the woods to do at this time of night?" Ralph couldn’t help but wonder as they continued to follow the two. "That, I don’t know. We’ll just keep following them quietly and find out soon enough," Harry replied, walking cautiously as they trailed behind Phil, who strolled leisurely through the woods. They still found it hard to believe what Faul had told them earlier about being a reincarnated dragon. Although he had shown them his true form by entering their minds, it all still felt like just a dream. They continued
Hunting Game
Faul went ahead to tell them who he was, and how he was reincarnated into this world. He also explained what Phil had become and what he could be. Then, he told them about his mission and revealed the true culprit behind the Red Death. He finally asked if they would fight alongside him to end it. After spending hours within their minds, the two teenagers couldn't help but pledge allegiance to Faul, vowing to become his blood brothers and fight with him. When they returned from wherever their minds had taken them, they discovered that the hours they spent inside had only been a few minutes in the real world. They were still lying on their beds. They closed their eyes and drifted to sleep, praying for a good start to the next day — the beginning of the hunting game. The entire Silver Knight class at the Alora Knight Academy was preparing for the upcoming hunting game, scheduled to take place in a week. Before the game, the knights had to be assessed in various areas to determine how
Demonic Angel
From day to day, Phil never left Faul’s side, which had already started to bug Faul himself. He didn’t want others to think Phil had lost his mind. Even though Faul didn’t want to believe the stories about a wyvern, he decided to test things out with Phil—to know if it was true and whether Phil had become one. On a fateful day, Faul took Phil into the training quarters to clarify his doubts. “Are we here to train? Because I’d like to test my strength against you,” Phil asked excitedly. “Phil, you will test it out. But right now, I need to clarify something.” Faul sat down cross-legged, looking directly at Phil, who stood there cluelessly. “Can you fight for me, Phil? How much will you risk to protect me?” That question triggered something in Phil, and he knelt on one knee. “Yes! I can fight for you, whenever and wherever. I will risk my life and everything I have to protect you, master!” Phil bowed before Faul, showing his allegiance. The answer wasn’t much of a surprise to Fau
Phil's New Strength
Some die-hard fans of the fight knew almost every contestant far beyond the arena, as they kept a close tab on people who might one day join. But no one knew who the new contestant was. His name was simply unknown. Even Faul and the other two wondered why Phil chose such a name. "The Battalion Demolisher? That name is too powerful for someone like Phil. Just the name alone will only get him into more trouble," Harry said, unable to help the pity he felt for his dear friend who seemed ready to lose his life trying to prove nothing. Every day, the arena hosted a maximum of three fights to entertain the people—and to make lots of money, as many would bet on who would win or lose. Today, many had placed their bets based on the odds and the strength of the fighters. Phil's odds were the highest anyone had ever seen since the arena’s inception. Phil had ten-to-two odds of winning. This made many people laugh at the new “Battalion Demolisher,” and no one placed a single bet on him.
New Contestant
A few weeks after the incident with the four friends, things finally returned to normal. During those past weeks, they had been on a silent break, with Phil being the only mediator since he had no issue with anyone. However, Harry and Ralph no longer talked to Faul. They knew he was hiding something and had expected him to open up, but he never did. Eventually, they decided to let it go. They concluded that they would give Faul space and just hoped he would tell them everything when the time was right. But over the past few weeks, Harry and Ralph noticed some changes in Phil. His slight change in appearance, his sudden confidence—it made them worry. They feared he might have been infected during the attack in the woods. Faul, however, knew exactly what was happening. Saving Phil’s life had changed him. He realized it the moment Phil woke up. The magic Faul had used on him had tampered with his being, and if care wasn’t taken, Phil might no longer remain human.
